So far, so good! As mentioned by the developer, you need to set the new commands to "global" and restart (about://restart) for it to work on any tab.

any ways to disable it in other tabs than spotify?

was woking fine until recently I used to chose player key on my keyboard and was working for play and puse now days it asking me to use different keys like command P or something else

Works great! But the "like song" shortcut doesn't work as intended recently. Instead of liking the song it likes the whole playlist. Edit: Liked songs feature was fixed, everything works as intended again!

5 stars for intended purpose, it works great for setting up Spotify Hotkeys. However 1 or 2 stars if you use bluetooth devices with Chrome. It affects all websites and media controls outside of Spotify, somehow capturing and disabling bluetooth control functions from headphones and earbuds so when you tap an earbud to play/pause nothing happens. I rely heavily on bluetooth throughout the day but when this extension is enabled I can't control audio or video from ANY website (Youtube, podcasts, movies etc). Took me awhile to find the culprit, tested with numerous headphones and buds, different browsers, all kinds of geeky settings in Chrome and finally realized it was my new Spotify extension. All is working well now that I disabled it.

Only works while clicked in browser not while in apps or applications other than chrome I don't get the point if one has to go back to chrome to use the shortcuts?

I Have added this extension to opera browser so i opened my spotify on the sidebar (in opera) and i have set up shortcuts (going to 'opera://extensions/shortcuts') and its not working ;( 😓😭

Simply marvelous. I have been looking for something like this for a really long time, is amazing that you dont even have to have Chrome in focus if using the global parameters. Fantastic.

Doesn't work correctly with the current version of Spotify Web Player. When enabled the extension works fine for a while, but after a few songs the player stops reacting to the hotkeys and the extension has to be manually disabled and reenabled to work again.

Works as advertised! Exactly what I was looking for.

Never again without - I love it! It let you control spotify on a global level (browser dont need to be the active window). If I could change one thing: add volumecontrol for the spotify browser window.

Pretty good so far. You can set your keyboard shortcuts yourself. I'm using alt + a (previous song), alt + s (pause), alt + d(next song). It's kinda hard to get to the shortcuts menu. chrome://extensions/shortcuts You can enter this link to get to the shortcuts and set them yourself.

This extension worked fine on another device, but the name turned grey on a different one and it doesn't work.

I don't rate many products but this one is just great. P.s. be sure to read description for instructions. Extension itself does not have an options button.
