Awesome extension. The only thing - it stopped removing black bars at some point and reinstalling browser/changing browser does not help so it seems like a global issue. As soon as that gets fixed, it deserves to be 6/5. Edit: the problem was solved and this is actually the best extension out there. Must have for ultrawide monitors. The developer is the goat.

It seems pretty good. I just can't figure out if you can remove the keyboard shortcuts. I really need them to go away. I use video speed controller as well, and "G" is used there. But now every time I press "G" the ambient light stops... Is there really not a way to disable to keyboard shortcuts?

In full screen there's a loss in contrast and saturation, otherwise I like the extension.

If you set it to dark, you can't see the letters on the sidebar while playing

I really really really loved this extention, it is so lightweight and gets the work doen without a hickup, and if you tweak it enough, your whole screen virtually gets extended like a big video while the original video being the same. Totally recomended.

Brings Back the YouTube Ambient Mode – Amazing Extension! I love this extension! For some reason, YouTube removed the ambient lighting feature from my account, but this extension brings it back perfectly. It makes the viewing experience so much better, especially when watching videos in windowed or cinema mode. If you're using an ultrawide monitor, it even adds ambient light on the sides in fullscreen where black bars would normally be, making it feel much more immersive! Plus, it works seamlessly with other YouTube extensions like Enhancer for YouTube, making them even better together. Thank you for creating this awesome extension!

I just love it. Sadly in the last update, it doesn't resize. It cuts the video frame, put the effects and everything. To have it on the 113% that I need, I have to go manually on the menu and click on anything at all, that's the only way to have it resized atm.

This is such an amazing extension to YouTube's orignal Ambient Lighting, I think it deserves more praise than this.... I request you can you develop this type of ambient lignting for more video streaming platform(s) like Disney+ and Prime Video.... That would be really amazing...

Actually amazing, definitely comes in clutch on an OLED monitor.

It makes all background pure black rgb(0,0,0) which makes it uncomfortable to read comments.

Why it does not making search bar transparent, only problem is the search bar is in the solid dark color!! BTW its very cool & awesome

Misleading title, should be "Remember language setting for YouTube" not "Remember subtitle settings for YouTube" (notice the plural in "Remember subtitle settings?"). Will update my review if either the title is changed or if the extension is updated to remember the other subtitle settings (e.g.: Subtitles' location on the screen, with an option to reset to default would be amazing, both suggestions being because disabling+reenabling CC resets their location to the bottom middle; drop-shadow on/off; window color+opacity; background color+opacity; font selected; etc.)

Can't understand how to make it work on my chrome. No manual in options, or in chrome web store description. Expected behaviour : " Set and forget. No need to re-select your subtitle language anymore." But not working

Excelente para poner automáticamente los subtítulos a cualquier idioma, pero le faltaría para ser completa que se pueda también configurar el color y tamaño de letra y fondo de los subtítulos. Me gusta también que se puede configurar para que automáticamente muestre subtítulos para videos que no estén en nuestro idioma y que no salgan subtítulos cuando el video está en nuestro idioma.
