this extension is amazing the only problem is that it decreases the speed of the browser(most extension that decreased the speed tested in speedometer 3.1)

Excellent Extension. Highly recommend it. The only thing missing is the video speed rate as a semi-translucent number on the actual video. As of now it exists but it's confined to the extension icon on the browser.

Hello, There is a Cross Origin (CORS) error in the script : The console says "MediaElementAudioSource outputs zeroes due to CORS access restrictions for https://cdn.[video].com" If you host a simple video player on local machine (localhost), in this video you attach an external Internet video, well the video plays but the sound gets blocked if the external website have set some sort of CORS headers.

extension is very good ,can you please show me to how to silence the part where it fast forward it kinda adds a little high pitch sound/disortion or noice,i used to use in android the newpipe player your extension is better than it, but that exo player somehow does silence the fast forward part ,i compared it with other extension too but its a premium feature in others ,it would be helpful as sometime it really gives off a very high pitch sound.i saw that your extension has an option for volume increase or decrease but can you like guide me to get something done for the silence skip volume. edit:i tried like changine margins works like magic but would still insist to add a feature like skip silence volume it would kinda be helpful

i have been testing this addon for a few days now and i can not believe how this just works flawlessly on youtube! before, i had to skip many many many times over the course of an hour long video just to hear a minute or two of actual audio. now it's all automatic and without hiccups! at first, this extension was picking up keyboard noises from the video i was watching so i had to tweak "lowest speech loudness" to 0.050 and now it's automagically skipping over silent parts, keyboard noises, random background noises, and plays just the parts where there is actual voice! it's very easy to figure out the exact loudness level since there's a graph that you can open and the red bar is your current setting. if you're still hearing silence, increase your level (and the red bar will raise with it indicating your new level or threshold). rinse and repeat until you find the exact level for your video speaker. it is well documented (there's hints everywhere if you just point your mouse over any setting) so you know exactly what all the different options do and you can tweak it depending on the video that you're watching in my case, this reduced an hour-long video to about 25-30mins of actual content! amazing, amazing addon! thank you so much!!! EDIT: i have "experimental algorithm" checked

This is absolutely phenomenal, perfect for watching unscripted YouTube webshows that have lots of pauses. My favorite use for it is for watching Critical Role - it makes watching that show 10x better and can cut out a good 10% or more of boring silence at times. If I could give the creator one suggestion, it would be to add a whitelist feature with wildcard support, so that one could make this extension only work on certain YouTube playlist urls, for example. A blacklist feature would be nice too. Those would just be luxuries, as the hotkey to toggle the extension does work fine already (as long as I remember to hit it when I switch between videos I want to speed up and those I don't.)

Funciona pero en archivos locales a cada rato se pausa el video y reanuda automaticamente, lo pueden corregir eso.

Cuando funciona es excelente, pero solo consigo usarlo en archivos locales. en Youtube y otros, no funciona :(

I only watch recorded lectures while using this plugin. it's better than the commercial solution by cary for that job because it changes the speed on the fly. no need to recut anything
