Well I would say this. Right now I get that this is a startup and there's a lot of growth territory, but I wouldn't pay money for this. I would jus set my youtube lecture speed myself and go on with that. What would make me pay for this kinda service is if you add some kind of video summaries in notes for example using the auto-generated subtitles and llm for summary, and allow me to directly ask questions about the video content in the notes. That would be really helpful. For now, it’s more of a novelty (sth. that I'm gonna play with a couple times and forget), than an indispensable tool in my daily workflow.
Seriously, YouTube doesn't show them any love...
Not working without autorization. After have only 1 hour free.
idk why it's not working for a past few days. ig i have the updated version
even on v 6.1.1 its not working for me, it was a good run using it.
It was good when it was working. I'd been using it for over a year. In the past few days, it has stopped working. The Saima icon no longer appears in the control bar of YouTube videos.
Wish they could get it working well, but they've tried to stuff too many features in to upsell you. It could just be a simple extension but they've massively overscoped and reliability suffers because of it. There are also keybinds to increase or decrease your word count with A and D, but there seems to be no way to change them. So if you type you end up changing your WPM speed without realizing it. Can't find a way to turn this off.
I am a junior designer. Saima helped me a lot in learning design. I used to study on YouTube and Coursera, and fortunately, Saima works on both platforms. I continue to learn while working as a UI/UX designer, and I can honestly say that Saima has contributed greatly to my career.
As a graphic designer and tutor, I love Saima's adaptive video speed tool. It helps me learn design concepts faster and lets my students watch videos at their own pace on YouTube and Coursera. It's super easy to use with just one click. Our sessions are now more fun and efficient. Highly recommend Saima for anyone learning from videos!
I’m a designer with tons of experience, and I gotta say, Saima is a total lifesaver for me and my team. I’ve been using it from the start. The recent updates are especially awesome, and it’s evolving so quickly. Every day, I watch videos and use Saima to send the exact timecodes and comments to my team. Honestly, we consider Saima a part of our team.
does not work most of the time
Very good i use it every day the silence and voice boost functions are so good
Saima is an invaluable tool for any college student! It's well worth the reasonable price.
Awesome extension
Amazing! It’s strange that I couldn’t immediately find this extension in the chrome web store search - I even had the idea of doing something similar based on the density of speech from subtitles)) But I’m very happy and admired how it’s done in Saima. I am comfortable listening at a speed of about 350-400 wpm, and I dare to make two suggestions for improving the quality of the sound. First: there are places (for example, at the end of a sentence) where the beginning of a word sounds clearly and loudly, and the end of the word fades out and is “swallowed” - it would be good to use the function of slightly increasing the volume and slowing down in such places. Second: there are words that get stuck even at normal speed. If you use transcription, then it would be nice to be able to display such a word in a problematic place (in the form of a subtitle), or use “swarm intelligence” - so that users themselves can add a problematic word in a given place and it will subsequently be displayed on the screen for other users. And third: I suspect that a high-speed transcription model is used, which turns out to be insufficiently accurate, which may affect the quality of adaptation and limit the use of subtitle output of the problem word. Probably, it would be possible to do transcription using more accurate models not in real time at the user’s request according to the following scheme: the user orders an accurate transcription at his own expense at the full cost (+ some commission for Saima), the second user pays, for example, 70% of the cost - which are returned to the account of the first user in the form of bonuses (not money), which he can spend on paying for the next exact transcriptions, the third user pays 50% (which is distributed between the first and second by 25%), etc. - thus, the first user can even receive some benefit in bonuses compared to the deposit. At the same time, Saima will earn money in any case - and due to this, it can make any other services available for private use without restrictions. At the same time, Saima will also be useful for displaying your own accurate subtitles (and translations for them) instead of the standard subtitles of video services, which are usually of very poor quality. I believe that accompanying accelerated video with accurate subtitles with the correct settings for their output can further increase the speed of perception and allow you not to miss anything at all. I join those who say that the colors in the interface are somewhat aggressive, especially noticeable against the backdrop of night themes - the user should be given the opportunity to choose their own. And I wouldn’t mind two additional buttons for quickly increasing and decreasing speed, or even better, an equalizer. I also find it useful to save personal speed for each channel with the user’s permission. And personally, it would be comfortable for me to increase the speed from 1.5 to maximum for 3-5 seconds at the beginning of watching a video. A button to disable/enable acceleration while maintaining audio boost and other features would also be nice. It is probably better to place some of the settings in a separate “Professional” interface. Also, the extension does not turn on instantly after starting the video - sometimes it takes 10 seconds. For this interval, it is better to use some initial safe acceleration for a given video channel - for example, 1.25-1.5 speed until the main part of the technology starts. When cutting out silence, faint clicks are sometimes heard. Thanks!
Excelente para ahorrar tiempo
I was disappointed that I could not figure out how to get it to work on gale.udemy.com. I mainly use this for educational content and it works great for youtube.
Important: Please whitelist this for YouTube.com/TV interface so that I can control the YouTube queue from my phone. Thank you very much! https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/youtube-for-tv/gmmbpchnelmlmndfnckechknbohhjpge
really love the app, it's awesome and useful. but the green minimized bar on the left side of the video is quite jarring actually, had to write a css code to remove it. btw, i hope you guys have early supporter perks in the future, please dont make it a paid app
Works with YouTube very well. Helps me with podcasts, interviews or lectures. I use it a lot.
First time, i have ever rated or even connect my google account to an extension The amount of time saved is insane. I am truly grateful and taking my time to write this comment to show how grateful i am to the people behind this extension
How can I use it on other sites? I want to use it at pan.baidu.com
good
Being a CEO at multiple companies requires finding tools to help you save time. A friend recommended Saima to me, and I haven't stopped using it since. Love it!
I loved the extension. It really speeds up the video without any distortion in audio or video quality. However, One thing that I would really love is to have more speed than it currently provides. It would be a lot more helpful for me if the speed of video could go beyond 3x.
Interesting idea! Very useful for watching videos in foreign languages!

Great A.I this A.I is very helpful for me.
The new update has made it worse. It was so good before, clean minimalistic. Now they have tried to make it more fancy and all the buttons are so big!. before only when I clicked on the button did the sidebar used to be visible but now! now every time, whether or not I click on the button, the sidebar is still visible! the core purpose of the extension was to help study but now they have made it so much more colorful and distracting. please change the new update and give me back to the previously clean and minimalistic UI.
This is great. Do you plan to do accent? American English is very hard in India, all coursera is american English, please also do accent change. It would help in online courses.
Have been using for 2 months already, works perfectly. I think it would be good to show some statistics on my saved time, I think I saved for another learning course :)
I really love this extension , the voice boost and the wpm is really helpful in case of academic lectures.
I have been using this app for month and it's great but new UI is not good as before it's overwhelming and some time if i don't use Saima on some videos red color is not good for color language and previous transparent background logo was good. And thanks for creating a great app
uygulama çok güzel ama video oynarken simgeleri gizleyemedim. video hızlandırmadan sadece ses kalitesini arttırmayıda açabilmeliyiz
very good for udemy, thank you
Would be good if worked on facebook, other than that perfect!
Good for speedup video. But also add annoyance. Now if closing a youtube tab the "Changes that you made may not be saved" prompt window always pop up. Add extra annoyance
This is a great extension it has increased my productivity a lot and saved a lot of time for me when studying courses or viewing tutorials
It works great.
This extension is a game-changer, optimizing both video and speech speed. Effortlessly adjustable, it enhances learning and entertainment without compromising quality. A must-have tool for efficient content consumption. Highly recommended!
Great app, Helped Me So Much.
Works great for any purpose!
I've stumbled upon this incredible tool that has made watching YouTube videos an absolute delight. It's super cool and has completely transformed my video-watching experience.
