🔒 Privacy at a glance
- No page content collected. No keystrokes or form data collected.
- Minimal, pseudonymous telemetry only when a localization check or redirect happens: event type (attempt/success/undo), time, applied locale (e.g., fr), source/destination hostnames (and at most minimal path), extension/browser version, and a random installation ID.
- Query strings are stripped by default (except explicit locale parameters like ?lang=fr).
- EU data residency for analytics.
- No ads. No sale of data. Used solely to improve reliability and quality.
- Opt-out: email [email protected] to disable telemetry for your ID (or uninstall to stop all transmission).
- Retention: raw telemetry 90 days; support emails 24 months.
🛡️ Why these permissions?
- Read and change data on websites you visit (<all_urls>, tabs, webNavigation, webRequest): needed to detect your current page, find the localized counterpart, and perform/track the redirect. We use only URL and language metadata; no page content is collected.
- Inject scripts (scripting): to read language signals (e.g., lang/hreflang) and avoid bad redirects (e.g., soft-404 detection).
- Store settings (storage): saves your preferences locally in the browser.
