BringID extension combines MPC-TLS and Semaphore zero-knowledge proofs to privately verify and prove your web data. The extension is based on the TLS Notary work and open-source. Check the code on Github: https://github.com/BringID
Privacy BringID does not collect or store personal data. In MPC-TLS verification, the notary only sees encrypted traffic and receives only the specific values required for proof generation (e.g. hashed account IDs, follower counts, or ride IDs). The notary signs an attestation, and the hashed account ID is committed on-chain as a Semaphore identity commitment. From these commitments, users can generate unlinkable zero-knowledge proofs of humanity without exposing their underlying identity.
Note: By design, successful proofs may indicate that a user belongs to a verified group (e.g. Uber riders, Apple ID owners). This information is used only to demonstrate uniqueness and humanity. No raw account data or identities are disclosed, and commitments cannot be linked across different proofs.
