C2PA Content Credentials

Content Credentials add machine-readable and verifiable manifests to online assets to track the origin and history of online assets using the C2PA standard. When right-clicking on an image (jpg), video (mpeg) or audio file (wav or mp3) and selecting the Verify Content Credentials menu, this extension checks for manifests attached to the assets. If an asset has a manifest, the extension will validate it and make the results available via a click on the Content Credentials “CR” pin icon.

Features:

• Right click on an image, video or audio clip and select Verify Content Credentials to trigger the verification.
• Or toggle on or off the automatic detection of assets with manifests.
• Validates manifest when present and adds a "CR" pin to the assets.
• Hovering the "CR" pin displays a summary of the manifest in a pop up.
• Supports recovering content credentials based on Digimarc digital watermarks (durable content credentials).
