Works but it's ugly - atm at least Dec 2025. Not hiding top related videos is mandatory though. A more convinient button to switch under the video would be much better.

An idea crossed my mind: having the comments displayed on the right. I like reading comments while watching the video at the same time, but I can't do both at the same time when the comments are below the video. I thought there was enough space on the right, and wondered if someone had made an extension for that. And sure enough, you did. Honestly, well done, it does the job perfectly and works flawlessly! On top of that, the keybind feature is super useful, and you can even customize it! That's really great. Also, it would be fantastic if you could adjust the top offset, since YouTube's navigation bar overlaps it. And if the comments could take up the full height of the page and be more visually integrated, for example by removing the borders and taking inspiration from another extension to blend the design more seamlessly with the page. Working good, but if would be perfect if it can be set to always display comment on the right, or at least remember the last applied settings. Toggling it every time is tedious and kind of defeat the purpose of why people install this extension in the first place

So nice, 2 times youtube has made a update where you can do the same thing as in this extension, and both times they reverted it. I was so fed up with it and im glad i found this extension, i just love reading comments while actually seeing the video. One change i would like is to be able to change the toggle keybind.

Not working for me.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. Clicking the right button puts comments in a new overlaying window with chosen background colour on the right, but clicking the default button just removes the window. I presume it no longer works because YouTube have now made the right the default position for comments, so it's no longer the "default left side" as it says in the video. The extension does allow scrolling of the comments on the right, which YouTube amazingly hasn't included, but I expect that will change. The browser also doesn't remember the extension's setting.

Where is the "toggle" button to move comments to under the video? Comments are suddenly on the right without my permission and I can't seem to move them back. Also, Ctrl+Shift+Y doesn't do a thing. Please move my comments back to where they were. Thanks.
