works like a charm really!
ChromeOS 140.0.7339.242 (Official Build) (64-bit) not working There is already a GitHUB issue raised recently about this.
Zoom Lockの替りには成らねェので却下。ブラウザをリロードすると元に戻っちまう為。
It works for certain sites but not others. I am wanting to stop zooming while pressing control and scrolling on a laptop touchpad in online MSWord and outlook, but it is unaffected. To be fair, even AutoHotKey gets bypassed by these javascript only websites. I still haven't found a solution.
This extension is exactly what I needed. I kept accidentally zooming in and out on websites using the trackpad or keyboard shortcuts, which was super frustrating. Zoom Block completely solved that problem—it stops unwanted zooming without affecting anything else. It’s lightweight, easy to install, and just works. A must-have for anyone tired of sudden page zooms!
(Jingle Bells) junk junk junk---junk junk junk---junk junk junk junk junk---junk junk junk, ja ja junk junk junk---ja ja junk junk junk junk junk. You can say that you tested it---until you're blue in the face, but it doesn't change the fact that it does squat for most of your user base.
I got this extension, as many others others probably did, to stop the annoying accidental zoom in or out when touching the touchpad wrong. I have a Logitech keyboard, but I'm guessing this issue also happens on laptops with a touchpad. Installing Zoom Block had zero effect on my ability to zoom in or out using the touchpad. Didn't work in Brave or Google Chrome. You can say that you tested it at the time of this review until you are blue in the face, but IT DIDN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doesn't work at all, on multiple sites and pages.
Praise the Lord! [And Zoom Block] Come on Chrome people, let's have this baked in as a default. Like tabs recovery you have added lately - so my reliance on session buddy has reduced.
thank's for your extension !
I definitely like that zooming is disabled in Chrome by default. I have been plagued by "random and inopportune" zooming, especially when I use any of my laptops, each having a track pad between me and the keys. I'm sure that I'm the cause the zooming and have been wanting to disable zooming for a long time. 1) After installation, the icon didn't show up on the toolbar as shown in the description. After some hunting, I ended up at the extension settings and saw it was on, but it wasn't set to be pinned to the toolbar, so I enabled that setting. 2) The icon was grayed out on my current tab (the extension settings). While the description doesn't say it works with ALL Chrome pages, I assumed it did from the description. After more hunting, I found that one of the FAQs stated that the extension does not work with some pages, including Chrome settings. It also doesn't work on the Chrome Web Store page. 3) When Zoom Block is disabled on a tab and is Chrome closed, Zoom Block is enabled in the tab when Chrome is started, with "Continue where you left off." It'd be nice if the setting was "preserved" for each tab Don't know if this same issue happens after Chrome crashes, after Chrome restarts from an update, a tab is reopened after closing, or after being closed on Windows shutdown. There's probably other situations. Will try to add to issue site for consideration. P.S. Definitely doesn't fully work on Chrome. Unfortunately don't know what I did to cause the pane to zoom to ~110%, although I'm sure it has something to do with the track pad and me typing. Extension was enabled and Chrome was on a "regular" page, Yahoo mail. Chrome said it was still zoomed to 80% and the zoom setting was locked. Only restoration was to close Chrome and start it to get the affected tab back to 80%. After disabling the extension, I was able to change the zoom setting. I did update Chrome earlier today.
Just doesn't work
Great extension, works perfectly !!! Hopefully the developer will update it so it continues to be available!!!
Works really well to help with Accessibility for users where pinch-to-zoom is more an encumbrance than a feature. I have put a request on the GitHub website if this code can be updated by the author or forked to continue the excellent accessibility feature so far. Updated 12 Aug 24: Put the above message into GitHub and the author has very kindly updated the extension to Manifest v3 (and responded). 5 stars!
Hopefully the dev will update this to the new extension API or Google will automatically disable the extension soon. 5 stars as it has worked like a charm for years. (And for now).
Installed on my grandmother pc so she would stop bothering me constantly about facebook being zoomed in. Works amazing. Thank you.
Does not appear to be working on Chrome 123.0.6312.22 for me (under Linux).
Works great after I toggle it off then on again with the toolbar icon. Otherwise it doesn't seem to work on initial page loads (or by refreshing the page, only kicks in by manually toggling it despite the icon indicating that it is enabled already)
Works for everything except when using the back button to return to a google search or when reopening a prior closed tab containing a google search which the zoom is changed from the default 100% to 150%
Thank you! I truly love you! Rant: its awful that this is even required on Chrome, but it is what it is. Sadly I can't change browsers because of work.
You receive what's advertised, what more do you guys want😅 This extension is great for websites such as calculators, or websites where ctrl +/- could be a important command.
Works
Thank the Lord !! Pinch zoom is now disabled - phew !
does not work at all
Great extension except it also resets the zoom to 100% and won't let you just disable it at a specific setting for a specific website, say at 125%. Meh.
Need to set zoom on a per site basis not per tab basis.
Does exactly what is promises. No extra permissions. No extra fees.
What a relief. Pinch to zoom appears to be mandatory and this blocks it. Thanks
Works great! Thank you so much!
This is exactly all I needed. Works perfectly so when I mouse wheel out on my maps for Roll20, the webpage doesn't start zooming out further!
Funciona muy bien. Resultados sin complicaciones. Excelente extension. Felicidades Wesley!!
Works, but normal scrolling is blocked when holding down the Ctrl key. "Disable Scroll Wheel Zoom" is an alternative extension that solves this problem: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/disable-scroll-wheel-zoom/mdpfkohgfpidohkakdbpmnngaocglmhl?hl=en&authuser=0
Doesn't work, and slows down mouse responsiveness
Solved a major headache for me when using Roll20. Thanks!
Finally! Simple solution for a stupid problem in Chrome (and now Microsoft Edge).
You're my hero! Thanks for this extension. Works great.
Blocks nothing. Browsers continues to zoom in when the focus is placed on the text input field which would be ok if the browser didn't zoom so far in and reverted to the previous zoom level once focusing on the main portion of the page, but that's not what happens. This extension does nothing at all.
Blocks accidental control + mousewheel zooming. However, it doesn't remember any websites that you intentionally want to zoom. You can temporarily turn it off but if you go back to a website its turned on again.
So far so good. Thanks!
Don't work on Pixel Slate...
I zoom into pages by accident all the time due to my mouse wheel button. It's so annoying. I'm glad I found this extension. Works great.
Works!!!
I find it very useful to use multitouch navigation not worrying about enlargening the pages. However, I'd like to have a whitelist - can't find this option. Help?
My god. I've been looking for this fix for well over a year with nothing to show for it until this. Stupid problem, easy solution. Don't know why more people have't seen this.
Does it what it says!
using chrome without this is a complete ballache. you're doing gods work
¡¡Excelente!! Funciona muy bien, bloqueó la posibilidad de hacer zoom cuando presiono "ctrl" + "+". Muchas gracias
I wanted to lock it at 80%. This app is of no help what so ever!
works great!
Perfect extensions. I wanted it so that my google docs would stop zooming when I did the "command + ." shortcut for superscript, and this extension gets the job done. Many thinks to the creator.
Just got a new keyboard/touchpad pad combo, and I keep accidentally pinch zooming when trying to scroll. This extension solves that problem, thanks! Does exactly what it says it does.
