Que se passe-t-il avec cette extension sur Chrome ? Aujourd’hui, Chrome a désactivé l’extension Ivacy VPN sur mon PC, « car elle n'est plus compatible » (me laissant toutefois la possibilité de la « conserver pour l’instant »). Sur le Chrome web store, il est indiqué que « cette extension n'est plus disponible, car elle ne respecte pas les bonnes pratiques concernant les extensions Chrome. » En consultant la fiche de l’extension, je constate que la dernière mise à jour de l’extension remonte à un an et demi, ce qui n’est pas négligeable dans le domaine informatique et pourrait expliquer que l’extension ne prenne pas en compte certaines préconisations définies par Google plus récemment. On peut également lire que le développeur de l’extension « ne s'est pas identifié comme professionnel »… Je vois aussi un commentaire (en anglais) laissé par Mr P Garson-Hughes le 3 novembre 2024, qui indique : « Google a signalé que l'extension n'était plus à jour avec ses exigences, ce qui n'est pas surprenant car elle n'a pas été mise à jour depuis plus d'un an. » Cet utilisateur ajoute : « l'extension Chrome a besoin d'être mise à jour de toute urgence. Les connexions au Royaume-Uni et aux États-Unis ne fonctionnent plus ». Alors, Ivacy, une réaction ?

Ivacy is generally a great service but the Chrome extension is in urgent need to updating. The UK and USA connections no longer work (but they do in the Mac desktop app) and Google has flagged the extension as no longer being up-to-date with their requirements which is unsurprising as it hasn't been updated in over a year. I hope Ivacy get it updated soon and fix the broken VPN connections.

Кому нужен российский IP, проходите мимо этой проги - тут, видимо, работают малокомпетентные программисты если они месяцами не могут решить эту проблему. Как пример работающей VPN - Windscribe....установил, зарегился, оплатил русский IP по индивидуальному плану и вуаля - интернет летает, все российские страницы открываются молниеносно

Beim Start kommt immer erst ein Error. Muss den Error erst wegklicken und dann IVACY neu starten. Das ist äußerst lästig. Bei der Erweiterung wird immer die USA gewählt. Ein anderes Land kann ich nur wählen, wenn ich ein Upgrade mache. Welches Upgrade? ich dachte, ich hätte schon die Premium-Version.

A few years ago, chose to use Ivacy primarily for the reason that it is one of the VPNs which has an Indian server. It was extremely helpful during my international travels.

I have used Ivacy for nearly 5 if not 6 years, I needed a VPN in Dubai and now back in the UK I use it on the chrome extension, the app for iOS and even on a second ASUS router, for those in the UK who report they can 'no longer connect', it's common for Virgin and Sky to ping routers to refresh security settings and firmware etc. Google on how to turn these features off, I guarentee you if your on Virgin's network this will be turned on and off within parental controls but not on the router itself no matter how much you tinker around with the settings; you need to go on the online portal and turn off parental controls and you will be able to connect. It may be the same for most major ISP suppliers. Any way, getting back to Ivacy - The speed is generous and provides speeds of over 500mbps (on a 1 gb connection), unblocks Australian TV other then TenPlay like other VPN's also seem to be blocked. The support is fantastic when needed and switching servers is a one click job all in all I would recommend ivacy its value for money, speedy, plenty of servers,use on multiple devices. (not normally one for reviews but wanted to comment on the review before mine).
