Please fix so that it works again!

Seems to be working, unlike all the other bogus download clearing extensions on here.

As of the latest version (3.0.0.3), this plugin no longer works as it should. It's 50/50 odds if a tab opens at the end of the tabs or next to the active tab.

Right -- after years of working perfectly, it's now not working consistently in the last few days. Giving 5 stars b/c it was awesome, but please fix ASAP otherwise will have to find a different solution.

this used to be one of my favorite extensions. Now it randomly opens tabs at the end when it feels like it.

seems to not work any more on Facebook or Twitter but seems to work with other sites. Occured in the last 24 hours. Otherwise its been flawless

Seems to be 50/50 to the right of the tab or at the end since update to Version 126.0.6478.62 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Doesn't work for me on MacBook with MacOS Sonoma. Tabs open immediately to the right of current tab (as without extension) vs. at the right of the rightmost tab, i.e., at the end.

Does the job nicely (as long as you're not using tab groups and closing/reopening Chrome - they go all over the place!) Can't believe that there's a need for someone to make an extension for this, instead of Google just making it a builtin setting... feels like a no-brainer.

Pretty good, but would be better if we could adjust the delay.

I also frequently get the bug where the extension stops working. A workaround is to go to chrome://extensions/ and toggle this extension off, then on. Hopefully a fix comes soon.

There is a bug, after some time running the browser, when clicking links in pinned tabs the new tabs are opened right next to the pinned tabs instead of at the end. The issue doesn't occur right after opening the browser and I don't know exactly what causes it. Other than that, it is a great, very welcome extension.

This has been my go-to ever since Chrome did that silly update that prevented new tabs from opening at the end. Unfortunately, it no longer seems to work as of a recent Chrome update (March, I believe). I'm hopeful it can be updated at some point when the developer's time allows to fix what Chrome has broken... again.

Does exactly what it should - closes the download shelf a second after downloads finish. It's actually absurd that an extension is needed and this isn't a normal feature of Chrome, but at least this add-on does the job!

Es ist grundsätzlich traurig, dass Google diese Einstellmöglichkeit nicht von Hause aus in Chrome anbietet... Leider funktioniert das Plugin nicht, wenn man mit Tabgruppen arbeitet. Ich lasse immer die vorherige Sitzung beim öffnen wiederherstellen und seit dem ich das new-tabs-at-end-3000-plugin installiert habe, beinhalten die Tabgruppen nur noch einen Tab und alle anderen Tabs die dort drin enthalten waren liegen neben der Tabgruppe. Jetzt muss ich mich leider entscheiden, ob ich neue Tabs am Ende haben möchte oder in der Tableiste Platzspare indem ich die Tabgruppen Sitzungsübergreifend verwenden kann :-/

Doesn't work with Tab Groups. It always opens the tab at the right most position. I'd like to open the tab at the right most when outside of a tab group. When it's inside the tab group, I'd like it to open to the right most within the tab group.

Thank you SO much for updating this. It's such a simple function, but absolutely essential for users like me who cycle hundreds of tabs per week (and sometimes per day!). I really appreciate you doing this :)

Every now & again I'll get a random tab that opens at the end but most - 49/50 or more - do not. Please resolve this.

An essential extension if you have a sea of tabs open, which I often do. I know immediately where to look for the most recently opened tab. Sugarbranch, thanks for the update!

Been using this for years and prob my favorite extension. WHY Chrome wouldn't do this natively is likely an example of large companies not being thoughtful enough to think of these things, or put them into practice. That said, there is an issue where this is starting to flake out and only works periodically; I've not discerned why that is the case. Still giving it 5 stars because it is thoughtful and I appreciate it. Updated JUN-24

It's fine ... But it also clears all files from the Chrome download list (ctrl+J). This is something I don't want from the app. I just want to clear downloads from a bottom of my Chrome and thats it. Maybe the programmer team can fix it?

stopped working for no reason

BRILLIANT. This is one of the first thing I install everytime I download Chrome anywhere. Been using for months and it's so simple yet so useful.

Works OK but it's really annoying that if I am downloading multiple files (videos) at the same time, it hides the download bar as soon as the first one finishes, so I can't see the progress of the other files that are still in the process of downloading. Would prefer that it not hide the bar if ANY files are still being downloaded. Can this be fixed? [Version 76.0.3809.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)]

i keep forgetting this isn't native to chrome. Does exactly what it says and works flawlessly.

This is an updated version of an extension which was originally written by me. When Google changed their API requirements, I never updated the extension to fix it, and eventually my version got removed from the Chrome Web Store. This new author has taken up the mantle, and re-released it with the necessary updates, and also made it open source on GitHub. It works perfectly for me when I tried it on the following systems: - Mac Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) - Windows Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) Please note! There is an unfixed bug in the Google Chrome API which causes this extension to always reset the downloads folder to the default folder. This is a bug in the Chrome API, not a bug in the "Always Clear Downloads 2" extension. For instance, if you configure Chrome's default download folder to "c:\my_downloads" in Chrome's Advanced Settings, then this extension will keep resetting the folder to be that. If you download a file to a different target location using "Save link as...", and pick a different location such as "c:\temp\testfolder", then instead of that new location being the new default, this extension will cause downloads to go back to "c:\my_downloads" on the next download. Personally I like that behavior, but sometimes that's different from what people expect. I filed a bug with Chrome about it, but after nobody touched it for a few years, it got closed/ignored: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=158965 Other than that, this extension works great.

При отмене закачки, файл остается в списке и не удаляется автоматически. Думаю стоит доработать этот момент. If you cancel the download, the file remains in the list and is not automatically deleted. I think it's worth to refine this point.
