if i disable and delete the extension some of my bookmars is not working anymore even if i follow: If you’ve decided to disable/uninstall the extension, please make sure to uncheck the slider above. This will restore bookmarks to their original state and prevent unexpected behavior after the extension is removed.

There is a bug in version 1.14. Clicking the bookmark may pop up the browser's download window, and the frequency of this issue is quite high. The Chrome version is 141.0.7390.122.

This ext is great! I would always forget to open a newtab before selecting a bookmark. Then the bookmarked page would overwrite my Gmail or Calendar. Now I don't have to open a newtab first. Thanks for this ext.

This is the best extension I've been looking for. I would be very happy if searches from the search bar could also be displayed in a separate tab.

Gave it a try and ended up backing it out for now. Found that quite a few my bookmarks didn't just gain the "newtab@" username trigger, but were also rewritten to redirect through bookmarks-evz.pages.dev, and consequently lost their favicon. For instance, a simple Google Maps URL: https://www.google.com/maps Was rewritten as: https://[email protected]/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fmaps That said, I greatly appreciate the work done to get it this far and it's a crying shame that Chrome doesn't just simply have an option to open all bookmarks in new tabs. I can't think of a single case where it would matter to me if every bookmark opened in a new tab. Also, a suggestion: Why not allow the extension to be active without automatically rewriting bookmarks? I don't mind individually editing the bookmarks that I really want to open in new tabs (it's easy enough to add the "newtab@" username). This would mean that instead of rewriting all bookmarks when the extension is initially installed, and having an "all-or-nothing" configuration option -- you would instead not rewrite all bookmarks when initially installed (which might be safer, and more appealing to many users), and instead have an option to "[ ] Automatically rewrite bookmarks to open in new tabs" (that wouldn't be selected by default, and when selected would rewrite all bookmarks with the newtab@ username, and would prompt to undo that when deselected). But if the "automatic rewrite" option isn't active, the extension still recognizes and works with URL's written with the newtab@ username (it might be a good idea to recognize multiple username triggers, so manually edited URL's wouldn't be lost by activating and deactivating automatic mode). Food for thought...

Simple but great Chrome extension. Please improve it to be like Gemini opening as a window in chrome://apps/. It can use keyboard shortcuts for other Chrome extensions within the window.

Thank you very much for developing this extension. Chrome has not supported this feature, so I can only use the chrome++ project on github, but that project crashes in the latest Chrome online installation version. I would like to make a small suggestion. Can you add a feature that when the current page is a new tab or a specified web page, click the bookmark to open it directly on the current page, that is, keep the original browser opening page method. Because after opening the browser, the first page is usually the commonly used start page or a blank page. After clicking the bookmark, this start page is no longer needed. Thank you very much again!

Works great, only thing is that you can't open the chrome webstore or the internal websites in chrome on left click like Open Bookmark On Left Click can, which would be quite nice, but it still is very good. Edit: doesn't seem to work on proton pass, which is a bit annoying Edit2: all of these have been fixed, thank you Vitaliy Potapov :)

Worked until imported new bookmarks then quit. Setting the the folders in the options screen is not persistent.

It kinda works but there are quite a few inadvertent consequences that follow with using this add-on. Due to the way it works of permanently altering all your bookmarks (https://url → https://newtab@url), for some odd reason some of the websites do not like this way of loading from this style of bookmark_url. reddit started loading partial pages, sheets started throwing some unknown error, one website is stuck in perpetual flickering. Initially I could not figure out whats really happening. To troubleshoot, I disabled the addons; clear chrome cookies & stuff but it still persisted since the bookmark urls are all different now. At some point I figured out the problem, exported all my bookmarks → bulk edited them using a html editor to replace/delete the `newtab@` part in all the urls → delete all the bookmarks in my chrome → import this new html file to load in my chrome and its all cool now!

The addon works great, and kudos to the author for overcoming the obstacles. Why such a simple feature required an addon is beyond me though.

Удобное приложение, все похожие вкладки группируются по основному сайту. Например, можно свернуть кучу вкладок ютуба в одну. Минусы - группируются все вкладки в браузере сразу, нет возможности свернуть вкладки с одного сайта, не трогая другие.

There seem to be a lot of harsh reviews for this, probably because people expect "Group Your Tabs" from 2015 to work something like Chrome's more current day "Tab Groups" feature and API. It doesn't. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. At least for me, I do find certain use-cases where this form of "grouping" (maybe read this as: "combination" or "compression" or "consolidation" etc instead for clarity?) is beneficial and has a particular place in my workflow. For those complaining about the fact that this extension CLOSES tabs.. well, yeah. It's pretty obvious when you look at the first 2 screenshots alone. The first shows 13 tabs open, and in the second (i.e. after icon click invokes the extension and it does it's magic) only 2 tabs remain - one of which says 7 wikipedia tabs were "grouped" and 6 from microsoft as well. If you'd rather keep them open but slap a color label on them and minimized, stick with Chrome's newer and native feature. Whatever floats your boat. I genuinely see no issue utilizing both approaches at various points of time depending on the situation, how many tabs I have open, how much memory I want to save, what is or isn't a priority right now, and other such considerations of that kind. Oh and as for those suggesting that there's absolutely no way to resurrect lost tabs that are gone forevermore into the eternal depths of the cosmic ether or whatever such nonsense, um, there is a "Restore all saved groups" button in the options page. So even if you closed those "grouped" (read: "combined") tabs, or your whole window containing them closed, or your whole browser crashed and you reopen to a blank new empty canvas, or even if you happen to un/re install this extension, or whatever other such scenario -- all the data saved by the extension can still be restored. Just... hit the "Restore" button. And voila, your "grouped" (read: "zipped") tabs are brought back to the fore. From there, just delete or open individual items from those lists, or use the buttons at the bottom of those pages to open them all in the current window or in a new one. For those complaining it takes all data with it to the grave upon uninstallation, that's pretty much how all chrome extensions work so it's a moot and pointless point to rage against the high heavens about. Install it (or any other extension for that matter) again and chrome-extension://unique-id-here/url-path-here will work once again. Which is why my prior tip about using /options.html URL to bring back all your old /group?website.com tabs works, even if your closed those tabs, windows, browser crashed, computer crashed, extension uninstalled, etc. Just reinstall, access those URLs, restore your data, then delete the extension if you don't want to use it anymore. But it's not broken or malicious, in any sense of those words. For those complaining about it digging all the websites out of your history, I've no clue what you're talking about. I mean, what I said just prior in the last paragraph is probably what's happening (i.e. chrome-extension://chaoejepfhlcelgpicelfccoiojpiofn/ URLs no longer work once it's uninstalled - so all the website/tabs "grouped" within are now also unable to be viewed) is probably what's happening, but on the off chance any of your are suggesting this extension is malicious and mines data, you're going way over the line with unfounded speculative rumors. Show the reciepts or chill out. For those also pointing to all the permissions required and using that to suggest it monitors E V E R Y T H I N G that you do on your browser - it's from 2015, Chrome's standards were different then and are more restrictive now, that's all. I'm certain that if this extension were re-written today almost a full decade later by Chrome's 2023 "Manifest Version 3" spec and standard it'd only require minimal permissions. Still, considering the fact that it seems to only utilize the chrome.tabs (developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/tabs) chrome.storage (developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/storage) and chrome.contextMenu (developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/contextMenus) APIs in order to function, I'd say it's a fairly streamlined and straightforward little app. But if y'all are still intent on crying wolf, feel free to show the actual code or telemetry evidence which demonstrates how it's spying on your and sharing your info to china or evil corp or whatever, otherwise these vacuous but suggestive insinuations and baseless assertions remain unconvincing.

Muy buena extension, eso si, si tenes paginas similares, ej: "dos pestañas con varios videos de youtube en cada una" y se te cierran las pestañas de one tab, perdiste uno de los grupos ya que solo restaura un grupo de pestañas, no ambos si son del mismo dominio

It moves my tabs across workspaces and deleted all the tabs when I uninstall the extension and they are forever gone !!!!!!!!!! It doesn't even leave which tabs are gone in the history. This is like a terrorism app that should be banned

Её-богу, неплохо. Не хватает тёмной темы, дизайн так себе, но выполняет свою функцию. Поищу что есть получше.

Полезный плагин. Не хватает одной маленькой детали, когда вкладки группируются сбрасывается прокрутка данной странице. Если есть возможность добавьте такую функцию, чтобы в группировке открывалась веб страница в том же месте где и было.

Seit knapp na Woche gibts im experimentellen Bereich der Flagg eine schöne Chrome-eigne Funktion für das Bedürfnis. The 5th star you will get wenn you update and use the shiny chrome flags :-)

Группирует НЕ корректно, некоторые из одного и того же домена просто игнорирует! Корректировки не нашел. Для отмены группировки одним кликом, по типу того как и группировать - тоже не нашел. Восстановить ВСЁ в исходное состояние - геморное дело! В общем, только время потратил зря, и сделал БАРДАК со всеми открытыми вкладками... благо, перестраховался другими более адекватными расширениями, и сохранил сессии, хоть ими восстановил всё в один клик НОРМАЛЬНО! ИМХО: По принципу... Детская китайская игрушка!
