The site that the extension is from works great but the extension isn't functional.

Pretty good, but when I use the google english voices, it doesn't go from line to line automatically anymore, you have to keep clicking forwards now but it wasn't like that before.

I do not understand why Dev's launch apps that do not work. Don't waste your time with this like I did

Pretty good, but I wish the max speed was faster. I don't know how fast it is(and I'd like that information on the pop-up as well), but the max speed is still a bit slow. Also, for some reason I have to click or press the space bar twice to pause.

Not even support English but Japanese! (and I believe other languages) This must be the best way too learn a foreign language by listening to podcasts and turn this extension on. Respect to the author. (from a Chinese user)

UPDATED: 14 January 2024: I like its simple control panel, and ability to start reading any paragraph on a webpage with just a single click of the mouse. However, at times the pause/play button doesn't respond well, and it sometimes skips reading some paragraphs, or even stops reading midway. Though paragraph highligting is available, highlighting of words being read would be of great help. The extension also lacks an "Options/Settings" that provides, for example, a choice to change the colour for text highlighting from the current glaring bright yellow. Furthermore, unlike most other text-to-speech extensions, there is no option to read selected text via right click context menu. This extension hasn't been updated since 2021. I hope the developers of this extension will continue to improve it, and not abandon it.

Simple, lightweight, but only works sometimes. It's skips paragraphs with no way to intervene and focus on text that was skipped over. Was using read aloud which was very good but recent updates made it buggy and unusable. I installed this and it works ok but has issues

Holy praise for this extension it does exactly what I wanted and was looking for that other programs don't do. This will save me so much more time, thanks a ton!

This is the best audio to text product I've ever used. It's super easy to use and you get the transcribed content almost instanty. It’s the easiest way to transcribe my podcasts and sometimes even do key word search when I need to find specific parts in the video. 10/10 would recommend

I click on the extension and nothing happens...nothing popped up. After trying several times i tried other pages then worked. There are other apps that give you more options of English voices and features.

Won't work on the website for my textbook, which is the only thing I needed it for. Tried everything the other reviews said to do for it to work if it didn't and to no avail. Disappointed.

It was COMPLETELY useless for using it on the page it doesn't work as good as all the reviews say its not a real TTS if you can't do it on everything i don't recommend this to anyone using this for anything other then news.

It cant read on the web page, you have to manually link it into it's program. the voice is cool tho

it will not let me convert somethings into the app. i also did this to mess up perfect 5 stars

I have to do a lot of reading for work. This extension has been so wonderful at keeping me on top of my schedule as I can take my readings on the go now. I absolutely love this extension. Super easy to use super useful!

I love this. It filters out all the stuff I don't need and reads the actual news. I recommend this app to anyone especially if you drive a lot like me.

Finally an extension that I like. I have a fairly long commute to and from work and want to reduce to reduce my screen time. This application lets me listen to the articles on the train like a podcast. The best part is it doesn't sound like an robot, and gives me the option to change the settings of the voice.

This is like podcast for articles🙌. Your articles read out loud with a human voice. I'm quite surprised how human it the voice sounds. Well done!!

Finally an extension that gets it right by getting rid of ads and just reads what's important. Unlike all the other text to speech apps and extensions, it also doesn't sound like a total robot. It actually sounds pretty natural. Highly recommended this for your daily commute.
