This was good, but doesn't work reliably anymore. I tried youtube comment kit, that one is working ok for me so far.

Doesn't work and the dev doesn't support it anymore. As an alternative, try looking up "YCS - YouTube Comment Search (Continued)" instead; the dev over there is still active.

There is a fork of this extension called "YouTube Comment Search (Continued)" that's being maintained by another dev. OG extension dev stopped updating this one so I suggest you use the forked one.

well..I guess the author of this add-on doesn't care anymore as it has been broken for weeks. Shame..it used to be very useful. Time to move to Comments Search for YouTube.

Was great while it WORKED. but sadly, i don't even see the search area anymore. wish it could be fixed.

Better make it open source so others can fix bugs. Every fix takes so long. If you don't make it open source, I'll reverse engineer your code and open source it. Lol.

Again stopped working a few weeks ago. I wish someone else would develop this extension, as any fix takes ages to roll out..

The UI no longer loads in any of my chromium browsers, including Chrome, Brave and Vivaldi.

Not working atm because of a youtube update, but I love looking up key words in videos just to see what people have to say about a given topic.

Fantastically useful extension. Stopped working on Chrome in October 2025. It's so useful I'm itching for an update. One feature I would like to see is when clicking on links to specific comments that it does not start the video automatically. I don't know if the youtube API allows for that but it would be nice.

It stopped working on Chrome while Firefox version of this extension still works.

Doesn't work.

I love and use the extension quite often, however it seems that the most recent chrome or youtube update has broken it a little. It'll still load comments if you have the auto load toggled on in the settings, but the UI that used to exist below the video is now longer there so you cant access the comment search funciton anymore. Please update it! I didnt realize how much i actually used it till it was gone :'c

New Youtube AI update bricked the extension.

When it usually worked it was a wonderful extension. Currently it is not working. What a terrible day to be alive. Curse YouTube and Google. Will update this review when it works again.

The extention is now not working. A Update is needed. Pls do a rework on the extention i daily use it on my youtube.

As of 20th September 2025, it working inside Edge (don't scoff I need the MS points!). It certainly searches the comments, haven't tried Transcript yet. If I can find or get an option that allows it to work in either Light or Dark windows, I will amend my score to 5/5.

Getting this error no matter what I do when trying to view transcript: "This page contains the following errors:error on line 1 at column 1: Document is empty"

The Transcript search do not work, when you open to see the transcript, it has no data, and i have tried this on many videos. so, it's safe to say, this feature is not working right now. please fix this. thanks.
