This thing is awesome, I use this extension everyday when I'm too lazy to get out of bed, but it is not perfect. As a funny example it struggles with my pronunciation of comma, and sometimes writes "call mom" instead, which is hilarious. It has problems with some words and details, but it is pretty understandable. In general I use this extension all of the time and I love it. If I wasn't broke I would be a supporter.

well, it seem to work on all site but unfortunately, it doesnt work on the one site that i actually installed this extension to use it for and the one site that i really need a voice recognition for, chatgpt. for some reasons it doesnt work in chatgpt, i think it's the website that kinda took some measures to prevent extension from doing so. but i think this problem can easily be solved. instead of directly typing the text into a textbox of a site u can set an option to toggle it and the text be typed in the extension window and then user simply copy/paste it into the text box. (but if u wanted to make it this way the extension popup windows text should definitely be editable in real time)

Simply doesn't work. Tested my mic and it works perfectly. Followed all instructions, installed the extension, the mic popped up, it clicked it, etc. Does nothing.

Hello. I've had the extension installed for a while, and first time I tried it it worked great. However, right not it's not working so well. It won't detect punctuation when I dictate it, and I read in previous comments that it was already fixed in an update. I updated the extension, uninstall and reinstall in Chrome, and now it recognices the commas but not the dots. I tried both in Spanish and in English, and it still won't recognice most of them. I also can't find the list of commands to know what to say for each symbol to fully test if it's my problem or the app's. The accuracy also went down. Help, please?

My eyes are getting weaker and the arthritis in my hands are slowing typing to a crawl... This extension is the best I have tried + used so far and have tried many. Not perfect, but not far from it for my needs. Don't pay attention to the nay-sayers. Thank you for sharing with us!

Приложение работает. Выбираем язык русский и всё. Речь разбирает неплохо.Только знаки препинания не ставит. Наводим курсор на значок микрофона в правом нижнем углу. Появляется окно для выбора языка. Выбираем его и пользуемся.

I'm using voice to text all the time and so far this is the best multi language free app that I could find. Not perfect still gleaching out if I'm dictating in few tabs in the same time. But all for all does the job. Thank you devs huge respect.

This is a great voice to speech extension.

It works really well from what I've used of it so far, the only issue I have is it is REALLY fussy when it comes to starting up and stopping the extension. More often than not, I have to close Chrom, then open it up again if I want to use it on a different tab. Which is tedious. As far as dictation goes though, it's been working tons better than Dragon does for me, if this was whole PC compatible, I'd be using it all the time.

I am so glad I found this TTS Extension! i went through so many others that would either have missing features, cost a bunch of money or just not work. This extension does everything I want it to do, it has a clear voice, allows for copy and pasting in the content, allows for changing the speed, and, most important to me, it is free! Thank you so much to the makers of this extension.

WHEN ITS A LONG WORD IT SPELLS THE LETTERS ONLY!!!!

It is easy to use, I'll give it that. However, it has troubles distinguishing Edges from Adzes, and Ember from Amber. This is not really a surprise; Dragon has the same problem. Updated 2024 May: And, it has stopped working. NO notice; no reason given. It just STOPPED.

I liked this extension smooth working. Want to to know what all voice commands are there in it. e.g. Next line, Comma, Edit last word etc.

The plugin allows you to change the speed of speech and change voices. It's very important and good! But this plugin very often stops in the middle of speech. I constantly see and hear that this plugin USUALLY stops in the middle of speech!!! It's bad...

I checked out around a dozen extensions and web services to do this and this is exacty what I needed. The way it functions is clean and simple (floating mic button), results are very accurate and what? It's even free. Was trying out another ext you may have seen. Reached the trial end and thought, it does pretty much what I want and paid $2 a month - reasonable, but it had some annoying quirks. Tried Speechnotes and it's just a better product so I just dumped the other tool. Shhh, now don't tell the developer this, but I'd pay a bit for this service. It would be an excellent value at $2/mo. 👍

Huge microphone shows up and in big letters underneath CLICK TO UPGRADE. When I click, there's immediately an option to sign in with my Google account. 1 There should be some trial before I upgrade, and a clear explanation what the upgrade will give and how much it will cost. 2 There should be an option to sign in other ways and not just Google. In response, can you please explain the features that an upgrade brings, and quote the price.

Macht, was sie soll: Reden transkribieren. Funktioniert bei weitem(!) nicht so perfekt wie z.B. die teure Software von Nuance; hat keine dokumentierte Korrekturfunktion, Interpunktionserkennung etc. Funktioniert etwas schlechter als die eingebaute Windows-Funktion - aber die kann nicht jeder nutzen, z.B. weil der Firmenadmin sie (zurecht) abgeschaltet hat. Nervt aber extrem, weil bei jedem Browser-Start das App-Fenster erscheint und einen lauten Pling ausgibt.

Some good some bad but mostly it doesn't work. Red only a small portion not the entirety of the page, even stops mid sentence but if I hit the play button again, it restarts. Kinda a pain but it works albeit, barely. Please fix it

It's fine but the voices aren't the right speed anymore and the voices aren't as good as they used to be. I liked it earlier but now I'd just rather use something else.

Best TTS hands down!

I quite like the extension it has saved me a lot of time. One thing I don't understand maybe it's just for me. Every time I pause while I'm speaking it makes a double space. So my entire text needs to be fixed by hand because I have a double space between my vocal pauses. To make you understand that I wrote this review using speechnotes and you can see the double spaces that I am referring to. Aside from that the tool is amazing. Is there a fix for this?

Was amazing, near perfect, new update totally ruined it, i hate it now and i will be looking for a different text to speech reader for college, its a shame because it was great from my first college class to now the grad school thesis, hopefully they undo the update and restore it to normal so i do not have to look for a new reader

They broke it then they fixed it now it is the best text to voice reader I possess super handy and nifty absolutely love it
