Have used it for a while then suddenly it does not work (per 20-02-2026)

Have used before and has worked great. Tried recently with ebay and zillow and no longer working at all. Tried different Chrome extension ("Save image as Type") and it worked fine with both of those sites.

No longer works and the developer seems to have abandoned it. (Tip: always look at the last updated date).

I used this to safe WebP as Gifs! Sadly this option is not available anymore? Really loved it but now i can not use it anymore :( very sad

Works well, and for those having problems, when you right-click on the image you want to download, look for the extension symbol with the text "Convert and save image as" on the pop-up menu.

Works as it should. Despite what I'm reading from others, it does prompt and allow you to save where you want. (Maybe it has been updated). Thank you for this useful tool. Saves the hassle/time of having to convert on a website.

Today trying to save images and they are defaulting to webp. Why? That might be fine for web development but if you want to save an image, you probably want detail and resolution not a 20kb file. Had to try three different convertors. This one works as of 4/8/2025. Reason for 4 stars, it doesn't remember where you saved the last image, so now have an added step of putting them in the down load folder and then copying them to a specific folder.

Does the job but lacks the basic setting to not save to the default dl location as the default location. WEBP is a cancer but the ability to have last saved location as the save location it defaults to is kinda the standard and kinda what we need... As an aside anyone who uses webp intentionally should minecraft themselves, storage space is ever increasing, making/using a worse file format for space (in images especially) is the most hitlerian idea ever.

Would of been a great addon if only it worked, however, regardless of the strength, settings or page, nothing would change which is a shame. I hope you (the developper) can find a way to make it work again.

Does NOT convert .webp anymore.

Everytime I try to download something, it always pre-selects the default download folder of my browser, instead of the folder where I last saved to. Incredibly annoying.

Χρειάζεται αρκετή βελτίωση ακόμα, πράγμα που στα 5 χρόνια χρήσης ο κατασκευαστής ΔΕΝ έχει ενδιαφερθεί καθόλου! Εγώ περίμενα πως η μετατροπή της φωτογραφίας .webp, θα γινόταν αυτόματα .jpg (χωρίς περιττές εξηγήσεις και επιλογές), απλά με την επιλογή του κουμπιού download, στο φυσικό μέγεθος και ποιότητα της αναρτημένης εικόνας. Ακόμα κι αν συμβιβαστείς με αυτό, η εφαρμογή ΔΕΝ αποτυπώνει την τελευταία διαδρομή αποθήκευσης, με αποτέλεσμα κάθε επόμενη αποθήκευση να πρέπει να την επιλέξεις χειροκίνητα. Με έχει κουράσει αρκετά αυτή η εφαρμογή και είδη ψάχνω για μία πιο αυτοματοποιημένη.. κ. Χίλμπερτ Άικελμπουμ ΔΕΝ εξέφρασα ποτέ κανένα είδους αίτημα για να πετάγεστε εναγωνίως να δικαιολογήσετε τα αδικαιολόγητα!.. Απλά εξέφρασα την γνώμη μου για την εφαρμογή σας, μετά από πολυετή χρήση και η γνώμη μου ΔΕΝ σας άρεσε!.. I LOVE this extension! I use it every day & it is a huge time saver! I have a (hopefully) small request that would make it even better for me. For JPG/JPEG files, add the option to convert JPEG to JPG. It would make it easier to know if the pic already exists as JPG & easier when searching my PC for filetypes.

When it once worked, it was absolutely stellar. It's so disappointing finding some image I needed saved as a webp. However, it's since broken and when I try to use it, it crashes the browser. Perhaps using Brave has something to do with it? It just runs better than Chrome on my PC. It would be nice if it could get an update, it's too good to not have. Edit: I just saw the comment by the developer, I hope the Brave devs can resolve this perhaps

Fantastic extension once configured... would like to see download options include ability to remember last folder when set to 'save as' specific directory instead of default downloads folder. I have to change each time. Unfortunate that this does not work in Brave as I (and my organization) are switching away from Chrome due to how many extensions are being deprecated. I hope Brave can resolve this soon.

absolutely loved it, used it frequently but it recently broke and now crashes my browser when i attempt to use it another review mentioned a similar issue and that a reinstall fixed it, but that did not help in this case wish i could rate it higher

So far so good! just refresh the page and the settings will kick in. once it's in you can toggle one to another. i would like to also include Monochromacy Achromatopsia please!

It had stopped working even though all the settings appeared to be in order. Removed from Chrome and Added back, and now it's working fine again. Great app!
