Good extension to start. Please upgrade the context window to FIT THE FULL TRANSCRIPT PLEASE. This thing cannot handle videos longer than 18 to 20 mins and it oftens cuts the transcript. It's good for the function yet it's starting to feel like metaphysical research suffocation.

Better than the rest

I tried setting my new tab page to: chrome-extension://edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko/session-buddy.html ... and got a "This page has been blocked by Chrome" error.

As a new student, I need to read a lot. Thank You for gifting this fantastic tool to so many of us. Easy to install, use, and customizable.

It researched multiple YouTube Summary extender apps. This one is the best. In particular, it can open a tab and automatically paste the transcript and trigger summary generation. I am using it every day to digest many videos. It makes my life much easier. I would appreciate if there is a function in setting to toggle whether a tab with temporary GPT chat can be chosen to be opened. Without this function, my ChatGPT history will pile up loads of unwanted chats created by this summarizer so that I have trouble searching prior useful chats.

Garbage. It only works on videos that ALREADY have a transcription -- why on earth would I need it if the video is ALREADY transcribed?!?!

Works really well, really customizable too. You can set speed (up to 3x) as well as chose from a variety of voices (which can be further customized with tone). Can read directly from the site or you can highlight text for a specific section, love using it for PDFs I have to memorize. Works great for both school and work. Many language options too. Would recommend.

Would be perfect but has a pointless limitation on max speed sabotaging the extension, 3x is not enough.

Is this a bug? as soon i change the voice to amazon ones, the extension gets automatically removed from my chrome. tried this several times and the issue remains.

this extension is worth it, easy to use.

This is the most frustrating extension I have ever used, and there are some bad ones out there. It starts talking when you don't want it to. It jumps up to the top of the document when you just found something way down the bottom, so you lose your place. It does not read in your Chrome tab, but opens up a separate window, which might be OK if it worked well. I gave up on it today when every time I hit the STOP button, it restarted talking 10 seconds later. From now on, I'll appreciate MS Edge's Text-to-Voice even though it has it's own problems. It must be a challenging feature to incorporate.

Excellent easy to use Text to Speech extension. It has many options and flexibility. I tried many other extensions. They were either paid extensions, or had lacked options/flexibility.
