It turned paid, you'd get more using gemini 2.5 pro with an api key than using mediocre models like gemini 2.0 and gemini 2.5 lite with this extension. Sad, but true.

The free limit is very small - literally 2-3 videos. In essence, the extension is paid.

The extension is really good BUT! Why are you making us pay for a subscription to use AI Models that is just using our google accounts and you're not really paying for it? That's kinda messed up.

Works directly from Youtube with customizable summaries, copy or download directly as text file functions. Would be even better if it can automatically insert the Youtube video URL below the title of the Youtube video inside the download file or under the copy function; and appreciate if can customize filename prefix such as including YYYYMMDD date numbers in front of the filename downloaded.

Totally free and unlimited YouTube summarizer. The new version also have Gemini 2.5 Pro. The only lack capabilities is that it cannot summarize content while the video do not have transcript.

This is amazing when it works well. It does not work on longer videos, which seem to be about 22 mins or longer. I accept that, but I have often gotten this error message for videos that are shorter than 20 mins (sometimes shorter than 5 mins), so it seems to be a bug. However, when it does work, it is a major help! I use both the timestamp feature and the summarize feature. Both are excellent.
