I am glad the hideous attempt at "renaming" of an international body of water is being corrected by this extension. Unfortunately, I loaded google maps today with this extension enabled, and "Gulf of America" appears with no correction :(

In Australia we see "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)" in Google Maps. This extension doesn't fix the bracketed text completely, but if you click on the place name it does reword the popup to "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of Mexico)". Close enough given #USAyouVotedForThis

Just a little inconvenience for people that are outside of the US (who shouldn't be affected by that executive order at all first of all): Google decided to also rename it for us (even though they did not have to), so now we see "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)" instead of just "Gulf of Mexico". The pluging changes it to "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of Mexico)", that is of course better, just looks redundant.
