Would it be possible to hide chats that I've already put in a folder?

please add sub layered folders i.e. folders with the ability to add more folders

The tool works perfectly, just as a suggestion I would change the style of the buttons with smaller fonts so that it is more in tune with the ChatGPT menu

finally, a free alternative! thank you, after all this time openai refuse to make one themselves and all other third party tools require paid subscription. i was about to write one myself. though could there be a feature to automatically put chats to folders according to their name like the "chatgpt folderizer" tool on github? ( https://github.com/trincio/ChatGPT-Folderizr ) it's easier for cross platform managing but it seems to be too outdated.

Greate extension, Joel! However, there are two features that would make it even better: 1) sync configuration to the Cloude, so the folders will be available on any browser (home, work, etc..). 2) adding support for mobile app.

I have noticed that my GPT Chat is very slow and crashing after using this extension. Have there been any similar reports?

Best 3rd party extension to add some level of organization to your chats. Not perfectly seamless when going back and clicking on a topic under a folder, chugs for a brief moment and the sidebar reverts to the original sidebar but soon after goes back to the layout presented by this extension. Not perfect but definitely a giant step up!

It works well. It's very simple and easy to use. This is the extension I've been looking hard for. Recently, however, there is a phenomenon where the folder is not visible in the sidebar (chat list is good, color division disappears). Of course, it will reappear when you refresh. I hope this is the only part that needs to be corrected. My browser is using the Whale Browser made by Naver in Korea.

Works perfect but takes too much space if you make alot of folders. i need 6 folders to organize my stuff so it takes way too much space which results in the scrollbar under it containing the chats being small.

Well done! I downloaded all the ChatGPT Folder extensions/apps. This is the only one that is not heavy on ads, branding, upgrades, etc. The rest make for an annoying UI/UX. Thank you for keeping this a minimal extension and mostly distraction-free! It's simple and it works.

The add to folder worked for my first two posts and then disappeared ?? I hope this developer responds to the reviews below and mine?

Easy to use intutitve would be perfect for a free version if it would be possible to add chats to a folder in the sidebar also sorting and hiding the folders would be nice

Same issue as reported below. The extension works fine, i switched to my second computer and all the chats that are not added to folder have disappeared. When i disable the extension every chat reappears. This is frustrating because now the extension is useless on my second computer.

Since today, not working anymore with the new chatgpt design.

Looks great but whats really needed is the ability to import/exort due to usage for multiple browsers (this will also help with restoring after any issues). Also more colors would be a great welcome. Currently still testing out the extensions with a large number of folders, I will give a more detailed review soon! Finally a request for sub-folders feature, please implement sub folders this would really make everything way more useful. Small issue: When you select a chat the chat loads but the folder closes and does not select the active chat. Also the chats that are added to folders show up in blue color (this is great and very useful) but when you refresh the browser not all chats added retain blue color text (most revert back to white text color).

Hey Joel, I've used this wonderful extension for several months. Recently, I've found an issue: all the folders I made are relocated within a chat section, not in the left widget for the history anymore. I've tried to fix this issue by disabling, removing, and re-adding the extension, but nothing has worked. I'm not sure that I'm the only user who has experienced this issue so far. I'd appreciate that if you know of any solutions to fix this issue. Thank you for taking the time to consider this. ++ Hey I think I found the reason why it's relocated in the wrong spot. Open AI, recently, updated the UI of ChatGPT. I think that might affected the extension.

Same issue as with the previous review: suddenly, all the chat history is gone. Only the chats that I saved in the folder still exist. Thank God the chats on my phone app are still there. I hope you can fix this soon. Thanks.

It was working amazingly, but now all the chats that I had put into the folders, won't load, and are now are all gone. I can still access them on the mobile device where folders are not installed - so I do suggest it is this Extensions causing the issue as it was only chats that I had filed ino folders that are now missing. I have disabled the extension, logged out, all to no avail.

So far, it's exactly what I was looking for, and it doesn't have any unnecessary features. Keep up the good work! One suggestion/request would be to add the ability to select multiple chats at once in order to organize them more efficiently.

I have needed this for so long, and it works perfectly on Edge, too. Now I can give my ChatGPT classes without having to rename chats to get them back to the top of the stack

Works well for normal chats, however unfortunately I can't move chats where any document has been uploaded. This makes it quite useless for me. Edit: Apparently it does work, you just have to scroll up to the point where the document has first been uploaded. The "Add To Folder" Button moved there in those particular chats.

I like the concept but it messes up my Gmail inbox view. I lose checkboxes and everything else is squashed - this needs fixing before it can be used

Great app, super helpful. It does seem to remove the GPTs and custom GPT icons from the sidebar though, meaning I need to deactivate the addon to see them again.

Solid extension, Joel! However, there are two features that would make it even better: (Critical) Folder Management: The ability to edit or rename folders would be incredibly useful for organizing content. Folder Color Customization (Optional): Assigning custom colors to folders for easy identification using a color picker dialog box would be a fantastic addition for further personalization (though less critical than folder management).

Been using ChatGPT Folders for ~ 2 months . So far, it meets my needs. But I think it has the potential to be outstanding.

Folders can be created very slowly, but I cannot drop any chat to these Folders.

Love it so far! Is it possible to add in a 'rename the folder' function sometimes in the future? Thanks!

This recently stopped working. Hopefully it will be back up soon cause it was functioning better than any other extension I've tried with the same function.
