The browser extension is good. However, the Paperpile PDF viewer often misses clicks when I try to highlight a piece of text. I have to try several times before it registers my click. The Android app needs a lot of work. Annotations are often not saved to the device or sync to the cloud. Triggering either seems absolutely random and is frustrating.

Consigo inserir as referências ("Insert Citations") no Paperpile. Porém, quando clico em "Format citations", aparece mensagem "The Paperpile plug-in needs authorization to continue. Authorize Paperpile". Então, sigo todos os passos e ele fecha no final, continuando sem funcionar. Já desinstalei e instalei e o erro continua. Alguém sabe como resolver esse bug?

The extension is like... the BEST PART!!!!

Really happy with Paperpile, and would definitely recommend it for for academics who want a convenient way to read and review papers for their reference library. Have been trying to find a tight and focused reference software application for awhile. In particular trying to find something with decent read/write/markup for annotation and note taking, plus citation manager. Endnote is horrible, Citavia bloated and too expensive. Was on the fence about Paperpile but their recent update which now enables search terms within PDFs tipped me to purchase a subscription. No regrets.

Worked well until just recently... for some reasons, fields are no appearing properly and I'm unable to fill in manually. Unsure why... I emailed BibGuru a week ago but haven't gotten a response. It was 5 stars, but must now give it one star. I'm trying out an alternative MyBib, which so far seems to be working properly.

Just the best citation manager - from someone who as tried them all

Love this extension, it revolutionises writing papers. One thing to note is that it doesn't automatically create references if you're viewing pdfs. So make sure to go back to the original webpage that linked you to the pdf and create your references there :) One thing I'd like to note is that I would love to be able to pay for a version without ads. When you're in the zone of researching and writing papers, ad pop ups can be annoying and distracting :(

Aplicativo é bom... quando funciona. De uns meses para cá, aleatoriamente ocorre de fechar o Chrome e todas as janelas, que bem sempre se consegue restaurar depois. Por conta disso, estou quase desativando a extensão.

Paperpile is great - convenient and easy to use. I love that it can automatically change the reference style with zero effort and it can find the paper I want to cite by title DOI, link, whatever I throw at it. It's a very user friendly tool, can be integrated into both GoogleDocs and Word and prevents me from messing up my references. I recently stumbled on a bug after Google updated - the Paperpile support team were really responsive, provided a work around and then got back to me when they had patched the software. Overall, just a stellar experience and I'll be using Paperpile for years to come.

On the Vivaldi browser, this extension omits the accession date parenthetical statement. Works okay on Opera and Chrome. Will this be fixed and if so when?

This extension is great. However, there is no option to cite full jurnal name and it does not export complete metadata of citation such as DOI.

I was so upset that I hadn't found Paperpile sooner! It has simplified finding and adding references with PDFs as well as writing papers. I started using this software last year and I am surprised by how many students and academics don't know about it. It has made being my nerdy self so much easier. No matter what device I am one - cell phone, tablet, or laptop - I can add interesting articles and reports I come across and organize it right from the beginning. It makes writing papers using Google Docs an amazing experience - just note that you can only be logged into the Google profile associated with Paperpile. I have a separate browser profile that I only log into using my connected account. You can even share sources with people who do not have Paperpile. Even if you are not a student or researcher, it is a great tool if you like to stay on top of trends in your field. I can imagine this would be great for reporters, bloggers, and other content creators who want to be credible. Thank you for such a great product that just works.

works great, but they tempt you in with a 30 day free trial, and what they don't tell you is if you use that up and want to keep writing your paper you have to pay for a whole year's subscription! I feel tricked :-(

Why are there no recent reviews on the Chromewebstore? Paperpile remains far and away the best reference manager software for Google Docs (and possibly Word), particularly since integration with aggregation databases like CORE and BASE was added.

Best ref manager for those who use multiple devices. Works and syncs between Mac, Windows, Ipad, work devices. Real easy to use

If you're a Google Docs user and a student (I'm doing my PhD right now) this is amazing. The ability to annotate PDFs in the system, the cloud-based sync, and the beautiful integration with Google Drive make this by far my favourite citation management solution. (I feel like I'm sounding fake but I'm not! I've tried others like Zotero and been frustrated.) I have no issues that haven't been quickly resolved - their customer service has been amazing when I've had questions! Finally, I now use the iOS app on an iPad with a Pencil and it's like paper and pen life but with everything stored and accessible from everywhere. ANYWAY, I'll stop - just, it's amazing.

I love it. I have been using this for a few months and really like how it organizes articles. Some functions need to be improved such as creating accurate reference pages with DOIs. Overall, it's a great app for students, researchers.

love love love that it integrates with Chrome and Google Drive so you can search for papers, add them using the extension, and then insert into a google doc. Amazing!!!
