This is the best extension I've found for syncing bookmarks across browsers. It's not perfect, but for a free tool, its functionality is impeccable. Many thanks to the author. I highly recommend this extension to anyone who needs to maintain the same set of bookmarks across multiple browsers.
Great now I've got it working, but there's a problem in the profile config that took me far too long to work out. It asks you what filename you want to sync to (defaults to bookmarks.xbel) which I didn't change or give a second though to, because why would I? but then, after that asks you what file format (i.e. HTML or XBEL). I chose HTML (because that's what my browser outputs, and I prefer compatibility). I then continued moving DOWN the options as anyone would, not thinking I'd have to go back up and change the filename extension manually as well. I kept getting sync errors when I connected a second system up, stating the XBEL file in my github repo was badly formed, and that's because the XBEL file was actually a HTML file. I would urge floccus to make it so that when a user chooses a filetype, that the filename extension also updates. OR put the filename after the filetype selection, where it will be more obvious it needs to be manually changed.

Super extension pratique pour synchroniser ses bookmarks entre les divers navigateurs, pour ma part je m'appuie sur Google drive pour le stockage. Pas de pub ou nuisance, code open source c'est rare et d'autant plus appréciable.

Ein klasse Tool um unterschiedliche Browser zu synchronisieren. Ich liebe es. Nur in seltenen Fällen ist ein manueller eingriff benötigt, weil die Sync nicht funktioniert. Aber einmal verstanden, woran es dann liegt, ist auch das schnell behoben.

Excellent tool for users of multiple browsers but want a simple solution to keep bookmarks synced across all.
This has been one of the best extensions in ALL browers, I usually jump from one to another because diferent devices and operative systems, thus always being annoyed by the bookmarks and kind of a slave of one of them, relying on so many external apps or txt until I found Floccus and it was an absolute change, now it doesn't matter what Browser or OS I am using, the Extension is available in all of them, I just import the json config and I can instantly have all my bookmarks updated constantly. A good tip for people getting dome duplicates, use the extension to remove dups at first and disable the built-in browser sync for Bookmarks, that way only Floccus will be in charge of the sync for them while the Browser itself handle the forms, passwords, etc, and you prevent duplicates.
I use Helium browser, and I was looking for an extension to sync all my bookmarks between different devices. This extension hits exactly where it needs to. I love to see that it's made by a developer working on Nextcloud. I'm doing the sync via Nextcloud, and it works like a charm. Absolutely recommended! Helium + Nextcloud + Floccus = <3

The dummest most useless piece of junk I have ever had the misfortune to try to use. Absolute embarrassment. Nothing about this app makes any sence, totally confusing mess, nothing works, just error, error, error. I work in IT I know what I am doing with tech. You log in but nothing, just error, the way to choose your bookmarks file on google drive does not work, absolute junk.
Hat ganz klar ein "wundervoll" verdient! Hatte am Anfang verschiedene Schwierigkeiten, bin aber jetzt dazu übergegangen alles über drei Browser (Edge, FF, Chromium), fünf Betriebssysteme (LNX,WIN,MAC, Android, iOS) und verschiedene HW (PC, WorkStation, SmartPhone, Tablet; Laptop, Notebook) zu synchronisieren. Was soll ich sagen: Es tut (gut) und alle Daten liegen bei mir (@home, in baikal). Sehr empfehlenswert mit gutem Support und hält sich.
Very easy to set up. Initially I was confused about how to set it up, but the Get Started guides section was very clear and understandable. I've now got my bookmarks synced between Firefox and Google Chrome. So much faster than updating them manually!
A wonderful addition, very convenient, works on all platforms. There were some minor glitches, but I managed to fix them myself, and they were more likely my own fault. And if something doesn’t sync for you, just recreate the file where all your bookmarks from all devices are stored in one place, making sure, of course, to create a backup first. Much respect to the author, he did a great job.
Combine this with Nextcloud Bookmarks as your sync hub and you have a winning combination. I highly recommend 👍
Fantastic but still a bit unclear how it manages the cloud file. It has created several "bookmarks.xbel" files in my drive.
Is there a way to enable time-based synchronization WITHOUT enabling change-based synchronization (such as adding a simple bookmark)?
It is a little complicated to get setup but I can't imagine it being any easier, given the nature of the application. I've been using it for a couple of weeks so far and it is working better than I expected.

This add-on works great! I have been looking for an extension like Xmarks for several years after it was shut down by LastPass and this does the job well. It takes a bit of time to set up, but--once it is running--it is amazing. I am able to easily sync between Firefox (and branches), Chrome, Edge, & Brave across two different profiles. Synchronizing with Opera (because of its different structure for bookmarks) ended up making a bit of a mess. Strangely, on Brave, it took what was on the bookmark in every other browser and put it into a folder with folders for other bookmarks all in the bookmark bar. While that one wasn't perfect, having all my bookmarks everywhere is great. Even the mobile app allows for two profiles, which keeps the phone in sync as well.

Chrome just started to crash about 15 seconds after opening. Fortunately I was able to open the extension page and one by one turn off each extension. Each time the browser would crash until I got to this one.
All my Chromium based browsers (Brave, Edge, Chrome) crash now with this extension. Disabled for now until Floccus pushes out an update fix.

I was using xBrowserSync, since it stopped working on my Chromebook, I changed to Floccus. It syncs flawless on Firefox, Brave and Chrome using Google Drive.
Läuft eindwandfrei und beseitigt dieses Thema endlich aus meinem Kopf. Nur noch eine Bookmark-Sammlung über alle Geräte hinweg und das ohne einen Drittanbieter. Absolut wertvoll
I installed Floccus Bookmarks Sync in Google Chrome and Brave Browser, storing the bookmarks on my Google Drive. For now, it appears that everything is working as it should. I hope in time it will perform flawlessly
Habe das Plugin schon seit mehreren Jahren im Einsatz. Ich hatte nie Probleme damit und die Bedienung ist einfach und Zuverlässig. Das Plugin erleichtert mir die Synchronisierung von Bookmarks deutlich.

Ich nutze dieses Plugin jetzt schon seit Jahren, in verschiedensten Browsern über verschiedene Geräte hinweg. Hatte bisher noch keine Probleme damit, es funktionierte immer einwandfrei. Die erste Zeit über hatte ich per Webdav auf meinen HiDrive synchronisiert. Mittlerweile läuft es über Google Drive. Aus Datenschutzgründen sollte unbedingt immer die Ende-zu-Ende-Verschlüsselung aktiviert werden, sofern für die jeweilige Verbindungsart verfügbar. Zur Sicherheit sollte man außerdem natürlich regelmäßig auch ein Offline-Backup der Lesezeichen erstellen.
