I could not figure out how to kill overlay popups, where clicking anywhere on a page opens a new tab with betway or other random sites. PopUpOff is the ONLY way I have managed to get rid of them. 6/5 stars!

Stopped working today. Can't change the setting for new sites any more, it just uses the default. It remembers sites prior to today okay.

I've tried many and this one is much better than the others. It manages to remove the annoying pop-ups that ask for cookie permissions repeatedly... I'm finally free of them! Other extensions require you to pay to have the same functionality that this one offers for FREE. I'm happy to have discovered it. Many thanks to the developer Roman Smunyov. Excellent, stops pop-ups like those that ask for permissions to steal your data and make you un-tick 100 boxes before you can use the site.

Working surprisingly well so far, need to be turn on and got multiple settings which is good...

I really enjoy this extension, and I use it a lot. This is not an Ad blocker, this is a pop-up/sticky element blocker. Many sites nowadays have features that "stick" to your screen in some way, and this removes as much of that you want it to. It works well, and allows me to tell a site "No" when it keeps wanting to put stuff in my face. A friend recommended this to me about a year and a half ago, I have enjoyed it this whole time.

div cookies bleiben erhalten. null möglichkeit, irgendetws auszuwählen, das man blocken möchte. daher wie alle anderen seiner sorte: völlig nutzlos!

It did almost everything I needed. Unfortunately a lot of the hockey sites I try to go to have invisible overlays that redirect you to a sales URL and I couldn't figure out how to get this extension to recognize them. I finally found something that takes care of that as well so that is why I uninstalled this extension. Other than that, this extension worked really well removing visible overlays and pop-ups.

Great extension! There was a very annoying popup of a website which couldn't block by 2 major ad blockers. But surprisingly the PopUpOFF blocked it nicely! Thanks guys! :)

This is the best developed extension or software for that matter that I have ever tried. The setup process is out of this world, with just the right amount of information provided in a very clear and easy to read and understand method. I am truly amazed and think this should be a model to follow by every developer. Thank you and please support this project people, the numbers I saw are way too low. Even this feature of including the number of supporters is brilliant! It made me join and the way the support page was designed was even more brilliant. No pressures, no annoyances, even when I selected the amount knowing that it meant monthly, it gave me the option to choose a one time payment! I love this. Thank you. Good luck with everything.

Der mit Abstand beste PopUp und Overlay Blocker hier im Webstore! Der Entwickler hat sich sichtlich Mühe gegeben, denn dieser Blockt Nervige Overlay effektiv und lässt sie verschwinden oder verschiebt sie aus dem Sichtfeld. So werden z.B. Nervige Cookie Consent PopUps aber auch sonstige andere PoPUps erst gar nicht sichtbar oder verschwinden, sofort! Es ist kein Werbeblocker, sondern ein Overlay oder "Modal" Blocker der wirklich, sehr effektiv arbeitet, ich bin wirklich sehr begeistert! Auch die verschiedenen Modi sind wirklich gut gelungen!

Very useful extension and remarkable how only a few clever devs like this guy thought of creating something like this to eliminate the terrible web popups. The few things I found annoying were that its own popup to reload the page appears too quickly out of nowhere and disappears before we can even click it - this is super annoying. Also sometimes the extension breaks when Chrome updates.

It works really really well for me, it was just what I needed. The constant pop-ups used to overwhelm me easily and slow down my research a lot. This extension is quiet and hidden, a great QoL piece. The only thing that bothers me is I can't upload files to websites (social media, online converters) by dragging them and dropping, even in dormant mode :(

Thought I am finally found the extension that does-it-all. Very soon after installation I started to realize that I still need to use AdBlock. After using the extension for a few days I noticed that I have to manually disable it on almost all websites I’m using because it blocked more than half of the essential scripts. Also, the interface is very outdated. The last update of the extension was 3 (!) years ago. I am confident that the potential of this extension is huge but the developer needs to monitor the issues and update the extension much more frequently. I’d like to thank the developer tho - I truly believe this extension my become #1 in it’s category

It attempted to work, using Aggressive mode, but page still wouldn't show content after the popup went away.

I was looking for an extension like this for years and now that I've found it I can't use the internet without it.

Me salio un popup de aviso de bloqueo de anuncios, y lo elimine con ublock pero se congelo la pagina. O sea me obligaba a eliminar el bloqueo de uBlock. Hasta que descubri esta extension despues que habia probado otras que no me agradaron Excelente extension, la configure en modo agresivo y resolvi rapido. Me elimino el pop up y la pagina web no se congelo, tampoco el uBlock. En otras palabras me resolvio. La recomiendo. Ah! free!. Nada como otros que hay que soltar los $.

Something missing- options can select full productivity, then works on www.tvnet.lv but it blocks some releted stories to right too off in https://www.thelocal.fr/20221210/frances-mediawan-buys-majority-stake-in-brad-pitts-plan-b/ So not ideal for every site Update- Not working on tiktok.

This is one of an elite few extensions and add-ons that I search for and install. Gone are the days (and the overlays and pop-ups) when you could block the irritations manually one at a time. Now they're persistent, prevalent and aggravating to the point of distraction. You'd spend a minute reading an article only to be constantly nudged by annoyances. You can set this extension to aggressive mode and voilà... the irritations gone. Highly recommended. 10 out of 10.

Works like a charm for annoying overlays

There is this site the keeps on redirecting me to unwanted sites. Like there are hidden ads in this site. This extension fixed that. I can access that site now without any redirection.

This really IS a hidden gem! Go into the settings and be sure to set it to your taste...medium... aggressive ?? I love it when stuff DOES what it SAYS :)

At last, an extension that sweeps off "Cookies" and "Dowload my eBook" overlays. Cannot live without it anymore. And the dev is a great guy! My Settings: Moderate mode by default and, if I notice something may be missing, Alt+X for Dormant mode.

This is my new favoriite PopupBlocker. I also keep "Nope 2 Overlays" to do a manual block of things that Auto blockers don't catch. 4/26 Yes, I see what the author is saying now. Though the WhiteList isn't formally listed, a leftclick choice on the PopupOff icon for particular sites will be retained. Thank you Extension Creator! ;)
