hard and confusing to use

Was a great extension that I used for years. Then they got greedy and put a 4 session limit and I lost years worth of saved tab sessions that I can't open now. Thank you for doing that. I never would have discovered Tabox if you hadn't.

До цього перепробував безліч інших (платних в тому числі). + розширення розвивається додаються нові функції + швидка підтримка + різні тарифи + приємний інтерфейс - бракує двоколонного режиму (по типу тотал командер) щоб можна було просто і швидко перетягувати вкладки між сесіями, або колонок міллера (як у finder під Mac) щоб швидко переміщатись між ієрархією рівнів сесій вкладок.

TabXpert is one of the best tab and session managers I’ve used. It’s fast, intuitive, and makes it easy to keep large numbers of tabs organized. The ability to save and restore full sessions has already saved me time more than once. The interface is clear, and syncing between devices works reliably. If you often work with many open tabs, this extension is an excellent choice. I’m very satisfied with it.

I lost my laptop all at once and thought I'd have to start over across the board but Cloud Backup worked and restored sanity and context!! They were incredibly responsive and helpful. Really happy to have this tool manage tabs and just keep different aspects of my research & life tracked and safe.

Had it not been a well written program, I would have given it just one star. What I appreciate the most about TabXpert is that it recognizes the group settings in Chrome and Edge. Most if not all of the other plugins don't. What I don't appreciate however, is the fact that even the free version is not free. The claim that you have 5 free sessions is totally misleading because all other sessions are blocked except the newly opened session. Secondly, I find the cost prohibitive since I do not need cloud backup, synchronization, or any of the other features being forced on us. The precedence that this sets is also a serious concern because if every other developer decides to charge for their app, soon the cost of opening a single web page would be prohibitive for many. What makes it even more difficult to appreciate is that every Web Browser out there is free and so is every Plugin I have used so far. You pay for it when you want advanced features, but this is clearly not the case with TabXpert. Every little thing seem to be advance and every click you make cost money. The only thing that is free is opening the app. It's all well and good for others to come on here and express their willingness to pay for it because they can afford to, but let’s look at the bigger picture. On this trajectory, millions will soon be priced out of simply being able to surf the web. Considering those who can’t afford it also helps to boost your business interestingly. If the developer can give this a thought and allow say 20 sessions (for e.g.) completely free, I have no doubt is will go a long way. Thanks for your understanding.

Feature rich, customizable, reliable and versatile. I use this app daily, and I've been relying on it for years with no problems. I recently upgraded to take advantage of the enhanced features, and was delighted that the automatic sync saved the day when an unexpected corruption issue required that I uninstall and reinstall the app. The fix was instant. Support is fabulous. Can't recommend tabXpert highly enough.

I don't find it particularly reliable as it doesn't necessarily save a lot of my sessions; that's why I have backup session-saving apps to make sure that my sessions DO get saved...

Love TabXpert. Appreciate the fact that the dev should get paid. Ads plan, ok cool, that seems like an acceptable sacrifice for core functionality. But... the only way to actually do the Ads plan is to force another extension on us, in the form of a new tab page that I absolutely do not want to use. Why? Can't you just serve us ads? I don't want to install another extension. I don't want to change my new tab page from the one I have specifically crafted the way I want it and have been using for years. There's gotta be another way.

See this here? This could've been implemented by Google for the Chrome Browser since at least 2012 with their introduction release of Google Drive. That + a native tab suspender would have revolutionized how people organize and TREAT tabs for more than a decade now. Millions upon Millions of users seeking the best they could achieve with productivity and efficiency all those years had to endure the burden of Multi-Tasking thousands of tabs while making sure their RAM sticks didn't give in and turn into fireworks. Just.. just IMAGINE how productive, informed, entertained and HAPPY everyone in the world would be if they had the likes of this extension but directly on browsers with choice for either Cloud Backup Syncing like GDrive itself or any other cloud storage service or auto-saving on any desired Local drive device. Well the imagining is over. As a matter of fact it has since for 6 years since this and Tab Suspenders have been around but both have been honed and improved over time to the state it is right now. Those extensions are really the best we will ever have to Elite Tier Tab & Session management UNTIL the respective corps wake up and try it themselves as long as they don't DARE to shove paywalled bull into any non-server feature of course. So anyway, thanks for bringing what I described here into reality for us.

Can't believe the closed session are limited to 5 and anymore are gatekeeped, I've been using this from the start but I lost my laptop 4 years ago and only able to finally afford a new one now only to find out that I lost a majority of my my sessions. Edit: Do you mean that the free plan with ads will allow for unlimited closed sessions? Then I will jump back in, cause I only need those unlimited sessions.

Very useful product for me, and the support is also excellent. There is a learning curve but once you get the hang of it... it flows well.

This is the best tab manager by far I've ever tried, and I've tried dozens over the years. It's saved me from losing all my tabs when running out of disk space on my root partition once or twice, and is just awesome for managing, finding, grouping and persisting both active and closed tabs. Match it with "Search all tabs" to allow searching the contents of all tabs.

The group tabs options are for premium only so for free user group tabs seems to have some quirks, but beyond that, it is the best tab organizer with the most features available for free users.

My favorite tab organizer. Very good support from the developer as well. Worth its price. I'm a tab addict. It started with Opera 4 in 2000. Because Opera opened in seconds even if you had 50 tabs open (on a 200 MHz Pentium), I developed a habit of using tabs for stuff I wanted to read later, and told the browser to reopen all tabs on startup. In the past, I was stressed out by lots of unread tabs, but with a good tab organizer I can give a name to the window and close it. Like deleted code in version control, I can rest assured that if I one day want to come back to those tabs, I can reopen the window. For example my youtube window is currently at number 8; within one year I've already 7 times declared tab bankruptcy by starting a fresh window. TabXpert will remember those old tabs - out of my eyes, out of my mind. The key features of TabXpert to me: - Give a name to a window (session), so that I can find it later and reopen it. I have many windows for different purposes; some in repeated use, others for a one-time investigation on some topic. - It remembers also unnamed windows and closed tabs (for a configurable number of days), so I can reopen tabs/windows I closed accidentally. I don't need to worry about giving a name to every window. - It syncs the tabs over the cloud. I have many computers, but I can get access to my tabs from any of them.

Great extension. Very useful, full-featured, yet still easy to use with a good UI.

The features are ok, however the UI design, tool bar, tips and what they are actually do are a mystery , it's completely not user friendly, I'm very afraid to click any button because they are not self explanative and I just worry click any button will destroy my whole session or delete a session

It sucks that it has to go the subscription way just like toby I hope they increase the limit to 10 atleast. But understandable I will try to purchase if I can.

this extension is trash just like all the others i just resetted my pc and exported the data from the extension in tabxpert format and it shows wrong file format they just are just greedy for money is all

memory leaked, used 3 GB+ of ram only for this extension then crashed , I have 250+ tabs

This is probably a must have application for any professional out there, especially one's who tend to work from home. I perform academic research, which usually means I have to be jumping topics multiple times a day every day. This combined with the fact I use my personal machine, balancing work from life is extremely difficult. Using bookmarks is not really an answer as they aren't built for these types of workflows, and they definitely aren't meant to be updated continuously. TabXpert fixes all these problems and then some. All of it is done in the background for you. There is a perceived learning curve at the beginning, but as I said its really only perceived. I would love to see more configurable shortcuts in the future but the development has been consistent and high quality. Finally, the support the dev has both on reddit and through email is bar none. I really see this approach of workflow and tab management becoming the norm, especially for professionals, in the future.

After trying out the free version for a few months, I decided to purchase a Pro license. I tried many different approaches to the problem of tab bloat and, more important to me, the problem of finding a way to group tabs in windows according to the topic/area of work. tabXpert solved both of these problems for me and the ability to sync across devices was icing on the cake. When I had a problem with my account, I received really fast responses and a really fast resolution from Andriy.

My roles have involved researching and developing. I tend to need to switch between various tasks and so tended to have 100s of tabs open at once across multiple windows. Chrome tends so occasionally not restore open tabs and so I would lose the in-progress work (I would save links for pages that would be useful to refer back to but not something only relevant to the current tasks). To overcome thus, I used to use an extension to save the browsing session (which tabs are open in which windows), but this extension has revolutionised how I work. Now I can close windows with in-progress work when I switch to something else and re-open them when I need to switch back, allowing me to have a small number of tabs open at once (10-50 rather than 100-1000). The few times I've needed to request support, I've received a response quickly. I recommend this extension.

Not for me, clearly. Feels very unintuitive. Buttons that just do things without clear indications what they'll do. I click a website in a saved session and all my open tabs close for some reason. I just want to save my sessions for later. This feels way too overcomplicated

Don't like I cannot have as pop-up within browser. Not compact on my 11" notebook or 10" tablet. EDIT: Uninstalled and installed and just lost 400 tabs! Not happy! Impossible to read text in this dark theme with Light Blue and White text. Illegible... Need to add ability to shuffle/drag things around and make using on tablet easier. I just want to save my tabs, create groups, restore windows when ctrl-w closes the window instead of the tab (due to only tabs hidden that don't match current domain URL) - so closes window. Need to be less overwhelming. Needs compact view like TSM Tab Sess Manager please. EDIT: I am not indian!? Has your account been hacked? Are you a racist developer?!? ???

This is actually the first time I, a hardcore libre software advocate, considered using a paid version, because the extension is invaluable. I'm a tab-session "power user" - I have six Firefox profiles with tens of sessions with hundreds of tabs each, thanks to old Firefox-only extensions that made it possible. So this was the one extension that allowed me to use Brave (a libre and privacy-first Chromium-based browser) at all. Contrary to all my expectations, this one does not have an idiotic UI, it does not crash, it does not lose data, it does not change its interface on every major release, it does not require manually backing up the whole browser profile in case something goes wrong - quite the opposite, it will work and import your tabs even after a browser apocalypse. And it even suggests creating a backup automatically! I feel like this is the first time I see a developer who knows what backups are, and understands that when dealing with user data, it is really important to make sure that no matter what happens, users can always access their data. I think 5 sessions is enough for a normal user, and if they rely on sessions heavily, then this becomes their essential tool, so it makes sense to pay for it - it's not even very expensive. I was waiting for years for someone to create an extension for sessions in Chrome-based browsers, and finally there is one person who did. There is no libre alternative - and no alternative at all. "Normal people" can even use it for free! And make sure it actually works well and fits their workflow before having to use a paid version.

Session management without the ability to sandbox the sessions is useless. Yes, there are some tab hoarders which will love to see their tabs neatly groupped and saved, but having separate, sandboxed sessions for each tab (or a group of tabs) is a must, especially if you are a developer, do a support of different applications, work in marketing with multiple social media accounts, etc. And yes, I know that you can have different profiles in the paid versions, but that is just hiding the already tragic user juggling situation that Chrome offers. Different users in a browser is useful only if you have to share your computer with somebody else, or have a need for work and private accounts. But, who does it anymore? And having this option hidden behind a paywall is even more problematic. If you need it, you can have the same results with two separate extensions --- Edited after the response from Mr. Kiyanovsky: First, thanks for the answer. By "sandboxed sessions", I mean separting the site session context in the same browser, but different tabs. The most simple example is, say, be able to login to some site with different usernames. Yes, using different user profiles does this, but it is awkward and, if you have a lot of sites/accounts to separate, quickly becomes difficult to manage. I am a developer in a mid-size development team for ERP apps, and we need to have different sessions for each of our customers, when doing development or support. I have a friend with a marketing agency, and they need separate sessions for working with social media sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc.) for them and for their different clients (each of them having a different accounts). https://sessionbox.io/ is one good example, there is MultiLogin, etc. I am not associated with them, except being their user. You have good foundation here, just add this feature, and it'll be a winner! --- Edit 2: Here is an extension we use every day, and it separates sessions from tab to tab, in a same browser window. Gets corrupted often, and on top of that they are basically killing the free version. Who would want an extension to save 5 closed sessions! I was considering supporting the devs but the extension has gotten worse over time. Once the update goes through this is a dead extension for 90% of the users as even the plus version doesn't have cloud saves which is the only way to deal with the extension getting corrupted, would recommend jump ship now instead of supporting these greedy devs.

I was using this extension faithfully for a very long time... Unfortunately, the extension got corrupted a few days ago. When I 'repaired' it, I found that my entire tab history going back over YEARS had been deleted!!! I shook my head and thought: "Oh well, these things happen sometimes, it can't be helped." Then I saw the update saying that the unlimited free accounts were causing the devs to lose money, so they were changing it so it can only save five closed sessions. I was willing to give it another go with a Plus (or even Pro) subscription. However, before I could even do that, TabXpert suddenly stopped working. I rebooted my computer and looked at my Chrome Extensions page, and found that TabXpert had become corrupted AGAIN!!! I 'repaired' it, again, and I lost all the new tabs I had saved from the past few days. I can no longer trust TabXpert to work properly, so I am no longer willing to sign up for the premium version. If the extension gets corrupted so easily, it means there's something wrong with the code, so even if I pay money, it will not be worth it if I keep losing my saved tabs. This is really too bad, because this extension was such a godsend for me for a really long time. I will just have to go looking for a new tab-saving extension that actually works, and doesn't crash like this.

Oh no, used to be free but new update will make it only be able to save 5 closed sessions. Not fit for my purposes anymore, jumping ship unfortunately! It did work great. Best to the devs, I get it, but still for me, very sad :(
