I heard of this extension and that it works with Instagram - indeed, it * did * work with Instagram and I was glad to be using it - but after having used it for a few days it stopped working just now all of a sudden: earlier it recognized Instagram videos no problem, but now it says, "Not video page. Please open the video page to download it". Would be great to have this working again : ( Edit note. The issue appears on Instagram in general - not a single video is available for me to download any longer, whether Stories/Highlights or Posts with video.

I'm impressed. I have quite a bit of experience with video downloaders, and finding one that works can be challenging. Sometimes they work on some sites and not on others. I'm yet to find one that works everywhere, but I'm hopeful with Video Downloader Global. While I've only downloaded one video with this so far, it worked on Vimeo, where my two other video downloader extensions failed. And it didn't just work, it was incredibly easier than any video downloader extension I've tried before. It literally took two clicks to download the video. This is an exception as all of the video downloaders I've used, and I've tested many, make the video downloading process complicated. I'll be testing this extension on other sites. After I've used it more extensively, I'll be updating my review.

Your downloader, other than unusable MPD files, cannot download DASH videos and then combine the videos with the audios, which means it cannot download from very important sites such as the two below: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/guide https://www.porndig.com If one day you could manage to have your downloader download DASH, and thus be able to download from the two aforementioned websites, your downloader would indeed become the best downloader extension. I have found only one extension, which has four variants of the same extension, that can download DASH and thus is able to download from the two aforementioned websites, but unfortunately it only downloads one video per hour for free, otherwise you have to buy the extension, and on top of that it downloads those videos without their real names. They all get the name with Master-something.

This app has kept up with the times, working where many of the others won't even recognize a video is present. Currently (202506) the very best video downloader extension available, in my opinion.
