I used to love this extension. It's still pretty good, but in recent months, it's opening the new tab twice (two new tabs). This has become pretty annoying.

Does what it says, and works well, been using it in Chromium and Chrome for a few years, and never had a problem with it, without it I would find Chromium/Chrome unusable, as with Chrome on Android, which is the most irritating browser available without it, so thank you to the dev for adding what should be in all Chromium based browsers as standard.

Enabling this extension will cause Google Chrome to attempt to load all tabs when it is restarted. As a result, Google Chrome will be unresponsive. The only available option is to forcibly close the application. If you attempt to force quit Google Chrome, you will find that you cannot disable or remove the extension. This is because the extension will behave the same the next time you start it. The extension does work as it claims, it is not a good extension for users who have many tabs open all the time. I disabled all extensions installed in Google chrome and enabled them one by one and found that it is this extension that is the cause. For users who only have a few tabs open.

Excellent, just what I needed! Now I wish to find an extension which could control where in a row of open tabs the new link or duplicated tab opens - at the beginning, to the left or right of the original tab, or at the end of all open tabs. There was a number of such extensions but Google killed them all :(

Conflict with Vivaldi's "lazy loading" It´s definitely a great extension but my favorite browser is Vivaldi and this extension (and apparently others similar to this) is now interfering with lazy loading. It was working ok with lazy loading but now lazy loading doesn't work anymore when this extension is active on Vivaldi's start. I have to deactivate it before closing Vivaldi and activate it again after opening Vivaldi... or quickly click on "Hibernate all background tabs" before Vivaldi crashes due to so many tabs opening simultaneously and depleting all available memory. I don't know if it was something Vivaldi developers did or Chrome developers.

Thanks good app. Switched my close and Ctrl-w buttons on the mouse now. Looked for the setting a number of times "navigate to new tab when selected" but could not find it. Ctrl click not shift now. Works here so you get 5.

Tab Activate should be feature if chrome anyways to enable. only downside for this extension is , that all my TAB GROUPS get expanded when i start chrome, what is actually very annoying.

I've been using this extension for years. When I right-click a link and select "Open in a new tab" I expect the tab to then take focus; this extension does that.

А что нельзя было сделать, чтоб закладки тоже открывались в новой вкладке? Хром вообще оборзел, не делает эту опцию, и расширения не доделанные какие то! И не могу найти расширения, чтоб закладки открывались в новой вкладке, как в других браузерах!!!

Thank you so much for making this extension. Why this isn't an option in Chrome after all of these years is a mystery to me? If you're a fan of FIREFOX'S Tab Switching. Then you need this extension. 10/10 stars. PERFECT! I don't know what else to say besides, the fact that this isn't an option in Chrome is an absolute let down.

In other browsers, this setting is called: "When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately." That better describes what is the essential behavior of this extension. I care little if it is slightly less than immediate -- take whatever time is needed to open the link, but switch to it when you do.

I'm new at Chrome. I still have trouble finding the Web Store. I'll try to remember to just google for it. Why doesn't chrome natively understand that when we choose to "open a link in new tab," it's because we want to go there. In Firefox, it's an option you can toggle in their Settings; so easy. The first hundred times I looked in the Web Store for an extension so the browser would go to a new tab when I click "Open in New Tab," I couldn't find anything. I'm not sure what I did different that I finally found it today. "Tab Activate" <heart> It works fine. Now, when I open a link "in a new tab," the new tab gets displayed immediately. An other review said something about this extension doesn't work when you go to Bookmarks and open one of them by right-clicking and choosing Open in a New Tab. I'm having different results on my antique laptop -- when I "open [a Bookmark] in a new tab," the browser goes to the new tab immediately, just fine. Now I don't dislike Chrome so much. Next, I need an extension that adds "Delete" to chrome's right-click menu. I don't necessarily want "Cut," which may displace what's in the clipboard.

As previous reviewers have said, the extension does not work when clicking on links in the Favourites/Bookmarks Bar which are the most used links! Useful, but not what it really promised.

If any site already has link functionality, which should open a new page in a new window, then the extension works. If you click on the link yourself with the mouse wheel, the new page opens in the background. The problem appeared after one of the Google Chrome updates. One of the reasons why I abandoned Google Chrome. the guys are very stubborn.

Doesn't work with Vivaldi browser (tested with 5.3.2679.55). It opens a new tab but it stays blank. I'm currently using "Open Tabs In Foreground 1.0.4" which works a treat, but has been recently marked as "This extension violates the Chrome Web Store policy". It is why I have been trying your extension, but with no luck :(

However, there is a side effect. Sometimes all Tab groups open when Chrome is restarted, even if the Tab group is collapsed. Also, and this is not about Chrome, but sometimes a blank new tab opens in Edge in the wrong position. This is a variety of bad behavior.

Aktywacja zakładek działa, ale kiedy mam ustawione, żeby Brave zapamiętywał zakładki przy wyjściu, później przy otwieraniu programu ładują się wszystkie na raz, ogromnie obciążając procesor.

THE problem with this extension, is that it destroys the action of "New Tab at End 3000" and of "Tab Position Option". It switch well to the new Tab, but forces it to be next to to current one, so this extension is useless for me if this behavior is not corrected. Two extensions that work well for me are : "Switch to New Tab" and "Tab to Front v2". They can be combined with the two first extensions I mentioned.

Удобное приложение. Изредка возникает баг: не переключается на вкладку. Решаемо перезагрузкой браузера.
