Sucks to see all downloads all the time. Added to Chro... REMOVED from Chrome. Yes, I enabled the clear after this and that.

really not the same as the original chrome functionality. Only works on 1 tab and for some reasons shows my completed/deleted downloads? I just want my current downloads visible at all times without opening a menu.

прежние версии были куда как лучше. эта версия очень неудобна! хорошо, что хоть "не отваливается". раньше была возможность очистить содержимое от уже скаченных одной кнопкой для всех ("claer all"), сейчас - нет, надо для каждого файла нужные пункты выбирать. несмотря на то, что в настройках стоит галочка -"очищать открытые/скачанные файлы" этого все равно не происходит.

The DL bar works great. I really hated the Bubblebar, drives me crazy. Thanks for creating this addon. However, could you please add a "clear" button so I can click on it to clear the downloads. I hope what I am saying make sense.

Bug with file names. After adding each file a tile with file name 'Unknown' is created. Only if you close download bar and then open it again you can see the names of downloaded files.

Suggestion: As many of us coming here are looking for a replacement for the new download bubble, a really good addon would be to remember the cleared files on the bar. Right now, if you clear the files, when you download a new one, all the cleared ones are brought back. Some way to control this would be great as it would behave like the old download bar from chrome.

No detect my location

As much as I love having a download bar at the bottom (FU google for removing it!), then this extension is not one I can recommend. The amount of issues this extension has in terms of cpu and memory usage is astronomical. Chrome in itself, use (with my amount of extensions and other things I've done to the browser) roughly 700MB-1.2GB of ram. With this extension, that usage is currently sitting at 6.5 GB of ram usage (as I'm writing this), and the time chrome takes to load initially went through the roof as well. This addon does NOT need to read my ENTIRE download folder (it tried to list ALL files in my download folder), ESPECIALLY as my download folder is over 1 TB in size.

Please make "all clear" button and option to show only recent downloads, and not all the past ones

Better than the download bubble that disappears if you're unlucky enough to click right after a download is finished but still has flaws. Instead of checking your entire download history the extension should only display recent downloads. I don't need to see that I downloaded an image 2 weeks ago.

THANK YOU. Wouldn't be needed if the self-proclaimed "UX experts" at Google stopped dumbing down the interface and removing features people still use.

Doesn't work for all downloads. Close chrome and edit the target of the shortcut to something like this with -disable-features=DownloadBubble added to the target. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" -disable-features=DownloadBubble

Works for now as a replacement for Google's awful download bubble and UI change, but could use a "clear all download status" option. Edit: Well, submitted a bug report, but if Chrome crashes or gets shutdown improperly it will spam your notification bar with an error message that won't go away until you uninstall it and kill chrome. Still will be keeping a watch on this one.

I have been using this great extension for more than 2 years, unfortunately with the change of time (legal/solar) here in Italy (29 Oct 2023 - Daylight Saving Time Ended) it started to calculate the day hours incorrectly. The extension continues use the legal our and not the solar one. I'm using Google Chrome and Windows 10, both seems to be correctly configured.

There is no default action for downloaded file. Every time I must 1. click menu and select "Launch" 2. Click "Yes" in new window "Allow Download Statusbar to open file"

It needs to block the download bubble that is still at the top otherwise its pointless if it pops up while using this extension

Since Google now REMOVED the default Download Bar COMPLETELY from Chrome it's time to switch to another extension to do what chrome was already doing in the past... Please Google: STOP REMOVING FUNCTIONS!

An error occurs when starting a download with a URL passed from an external program.

Visually not the prettiest, and it doesn't have all the same features as Chrome's default bar (drag and drop, my beloved...), but I really appreciate having the download bar back.

Simple and straight to the point. My only suggestion is to add a few more ringtones for the alarms - preferably louder ones. Besides that, it's a very helpful extension.

Quite useful now that Google decided to remove the built-in one. Only problem I have with it is that it needs a button to remove all completed items from the list.
