I use this to limit my social media time. It works ok, and my social media time has decreased since installing it. I like being able to add a custom message or automatic redirect. It's very complicated to use beyond just the basics, however, and the FAQ is filled with example code and tells the user to "create a rule" without explaining how/where on the options page to do that (the "Add a Rule" header link redirects to the FAQ, "block a new hostname" offers only a space for the URL, etc). The "scheduled unblocking" doesn't feel intuitive (scheduled blocking would make more sense), and sometimes it just doesn't work and will leave a website unblocked outside of the scheduled hours. This doesn't happen on days that have no scheduled unblocking, so it seems an issue with the schedule feature. This extension feels like it was originally developed for companies that have IT departments that are familiar with this type of coding, then it was made publicly available as an afterthought. If you're an average person who just needs the basics of a blocking a website and redirecting elsewhere, this is great. If you want a little more customization, this will do it, but it will be a struggle if you're not already familiar with coding.

This is actually amazing. I was just looking for a block site extension that allows me to write a long paragraph to myself because I need to remember my ultimate goal(the WHY) in order to maintain discipline. It's also so inclusive and limitless, unlike the overrated blocksite extension that only lets you block 3 websites. I hope with all my heart this creator continues to be generous with the extension! can block a site, but very very difficult to work out how to use the scheduled unblocking feature. Also, Would much prefer if it had a scheduled blocking feature instead.

Супер, очень не хватало такого инструмента. Я активно использую Chrome и Edge в течение дня, достало уже копировать-вставлять ссылки из одного браузера в другой. Установила в Chrome, чтобы открывать ссылки и вкладки в Edge, и в Edge - чтобы открывать в Chrome. Прямо волшебство какое-то: тыкнул кнопку и в другом браузере открывается вкладка. Не забудьте установить дополнительную приложеньку из описания, без нее работать не будет. Спасибо разработчику, очень помогает в работе! Полдня игралась))

Clicking "full" or "enhanced" privacy disables "do not track" instead of enabling it rofl. This extension enables browser tracking. Apparently the dev takes the articles that claim companies ignore the do not track header to heart and carries it over to this extension. This needs to be changed. It's a stupid decision.

Google has quietly delisted this extension from searches since years, despite being the most power-user oriented extension of its kind and by far the most popular (400k while all others are sub 2k). The only reason I reinstalled it was because someone linked the Github page, which then linked to here. Otherwise, I thought this extension was discontinued a long time ago. Thanks Google, for repeatedly intentionally sabotaging the reach of all extensions that are good and useful (and interfere with your mass-tracking obsessions)! Laughable blatancy.

There is a bug with the redirection URL during AJAX navigation. Try the following steps to reproduce: 1) Create a redirection URL. 2) Use a URL block, for example, "https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=4k+video", and save it. 3) If you paste the URL into the omnibox and navigate, everything will work correctly. 4) However, if you open "www.youtube.com" and enter "4k video" in the search bar, you will not get the redirection URL. But extension works great. Thank you!

Will ONLY block top-level domains. So if, for example, you wanted to block https://copilot.microsoft.com/ that wouldn't work, as it will block ALL of microsoft.com This all-or-nothing approach severally reduces it's usefulness.
