This is an amazing tool that helps with fast searching

This app is super useful, easy to set up, and really efficient. One thing, though - the picture on the main page isn't that attractive. The search bar looks kinda old, so I initially thought the app was outdated haha.

The SearchBar ext is the only reason I use Brave instead of Firefox. In late 2023 SearchBar buttons could become unresponsive requiring a page refresh on all Chrome versions. In Sept 2024 the Brave Browser fixed this problem. If you have this problem try Brave.

Extremely helpful extension that lets me quickly use another search engine if the one I am using is giving me results I don't like and has the added benefit of automatically copying and pasted selected text into its search bar (something many alternatives don't have), but as of this week (or possibly last week), this extension is causing STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors in Microsoft Edge. I hope it gets updated at some point in the future.

I love this extension. Very easy to set up and use. One critical point: It times out on your webpage if you stay too long and becomes unusable unless you refresh the page. Is there a cure for that?

以前は神拡張機能でしたが、今は複数回の検索をすると動作せず、ページ更新をしないと再度検索出来ないようになってしまいました。 更新も途絶えてるようで残念ですね。

Пожалуй, самое полезное расширение из моего арсенала. Пожелание: поиск по нескольким сайтам сразу, каждый в отдельной вкладке. Как вариант - в качестве разделителей сделать кнопку группировки, при нажатии на которую, будет поиск по кнопкам всех сайтов до следующего разделителя. Опционально - открытие в новом окне.

Hi, thank you for creating this extension. I'm using shortcut keys to open selected texts in specific sites. It would be great if it could also search the copied text that I already have in my clipboard. Could you please add an option to do that?

No better search bar that the one you adjust to your need. Got 27 custom search buttons from Google to Duck, Amazon to Aliexpress, AlternativeTo to Softpedia...and increasing. Just amazing!

Great extension! One of the very best for Chrome and Edge. But the button for the Chrome Web Store suddenly stopped working. Why? A shortcut attached to that button still works, though.

Super, but... Only missing: Open one new card in the foreground

I use this extension several times a day. I'm not kidding when I say that I won't switch to Safari as my primary browser specifically because this extension isn't available on Safari. I created eleven custom searches of my most-used websites to the SearchBar. All I have to do is highlight the search word on the web page I'm reading and the selected text is automatically input into the SearchBar. From there, clicking on one of the eleven custom search icons in the search bar takes me directly to the custom search word web page I need. It's perfect.

Great extension..very useful for die hard web surfers such as myself. Will donate as well as we all should. Author seems like a good guy with a kind heart. Regards, Moses Lawrence

A LIFESAVER! I have used SearchWP 3.0 in Firefox for many years and later in what has become Waterfox Classic. Waterfox Classic is sadly not usable anymore. This plugin does the same, even though it is not as nice as SearchWP. I am sure this is because of Chrome restrictions. Thank you for the plugin and keep up the good work :-)

Does not show search bar in Vivaldi 4.2.2406.48, and I want it to remain open in all tabs. Thanks for trying.

I've been using the extension Selection Search for years (highlight, right click, context menu has various search options) but this has won me over - it's faster to use, even easier to add custom searches to, and has all sorts of features you can tweak too. The only thing I would add is the option to have the search tab be next to the currently open one - selecting the new tab to be the foreground tab is almost as good, but what I'm asking for would be even handier. Great work!

Have been using it for years but never left a review. Of all my extensions, there are only three where I would find browsing unbearable without them, and this is one of them. I use it so much that my only problem is narrowing down the number of custom searches so that it doesn't take up more than one row on my screen.

Can recommend especially in conjunction with Vimium. Quality is on par with it as well, so it feels like they should be part of the same suite anyway.

Awesome tool. One of a kind. Don't see anything that has all the functionality. There is only few things I'd love to see being added to make it PERFECT: 1) Total hit count of searched words (next to each) 2) Next/Prev buttons with a number showing which occurrence 3) Page bar previewing hit locations. It comes as no surprises, that these are the capabilities native search has... but wouldn't it be nice to have all these in one? Native search does not have individual phrase search and coloring, which this extension has.

Very nice extension! Just one feature request: whitelist, such that the extension only runs on certain sites. A blacklist does exist though which is nice!
