What people don't understand is that the donation for this extension is for the developer of the SponsorBlock extension that far too many people use and is totally free just because of this extension. Yes, DeArrow does pretty much what other extensions do but it does it better in my opinion, but that's not what's important, it's the support you can give a developer for their work in general, not just for what you bought.

0 stars, this is a paid extension that does the EXACT SAME functionality of a free extension "Clickbait Remover for Youtube" You'd have to be nutty to install and pay for this extension, just go get the free one dudes.

Really disappointed in the fact you are using license keys at all, asking for donations to keep the app alive is fine and I would probably donate same as I do with the adblock I use but I don't agree with your choice of intentionally introducing friction for people who want to use the extension without paying for it. Unfortunately, I won't be using this extension and I'll switch to a different extension with fewer features and without this artificial friction.

Absolutely must have extension. Youtube has become unbearable without this. I need something similar when browsing youtube on my TV and/or phone.

okay sure, this does what it says it does—but my god, it slows down youtube like crazy! no other chrome addon hampers my browsing experience quite like this one. slows everything down to a crawl. once i disabled it? bam! the site loads up with ease.

Works really well, a much improved youtube experience. I would like the option to 'picture-in-picture' the original thumbnail in a future update, good for recognising watched videos from mobile youtube app and some videos I want to know content and see text from original thumbnail

It's about a 50/50 as to whether the replacement titles are a descriptive improvements or just dull. DeArrow titles can be long winded doorstoppers and they can be overly concise and utterly generic. And frankly if a DeArrow title makes anyone click on a video they wouldn't have clicked on otherwise then that is a bad thing because the uploader doesn't deserve the increased viewership.

I think this is gonna be really good for me, but I would like it if DeArrow didn't change lower case letters to upper case in the start of every single word.

It's exactly what I expected, with one exception: Some perfectly reasonable, non-clickbaity videos are getting their titles reworded in weird, unnecessary ways, making the searching experience a bit clunkier than it could be. Still, it's definitely an upgrade from the sensacionalist bleh that we had. A suggestion: Enforce some slightly more solid guidelines on what constitutes a clickbait title.

Been using for a while, generally does it's job, but I guess at some point the permissions changed and chrome decided to turn it off until I came to this page, no notice or anything. Edit: Upon reactivation my ability to click on video progress was disabled as well as disabling the ability to skip/rewind with the arrow keys, forcing me to be unable to fast forward/rewind any video, fixed immediately upon deactivating app, which sucks cause I really liked this app.

Even though the extension is interesting and the concept is admirable, community-sourced replacements to titles and thumbs are very often actively bad, with painfully awkward wording, needlessly changing titles that were perfectly descriptive and by no stretch "clickbaity" in the first place, or users deciding that simply submitting the same title but with all capitalization removed (including proper nouns) does the job. Yes of course I try to contribute when I find these issues. They're still incredibly pervasive.

Good extension, quite customizable. I use the setting where you don't automatically see the user-generated titles, but can click a button to show the user-generated titles of a video. It's very helpful for undescriptive titles, where you would want to get an idea of what the video is about without wasting your time and watching it if it's some clickbaity garbage.

Helps me find videos I want to watch, not just avoid ones I don't want to watch. I've found super helpful or entertaining videos that just were titled wrong. "Murky divers" was titled "Lethal company 2" I thought "Lethal company 2" was either Content Warning or Scrappys Contract, neither of which i cared about. Now i get to see a cool new video i wanted to watch. Also in a series, many youtubers put different clever names for each episode, so it's hard to find "Terraria episode 3" but DeArrow fixes that. I would pay up to $30 for this, but it's free (with a $1 optional donation). Absolutely amazing.

This is really clever, but with playlists it's kind of buggy. The playlist thumbnail is based on the auto-generated or voted thumbnail of the first video, which makes sense, but setting a new playlist thumbnail just changes the background color and not the actual image

Be warned: DeArrow is not freeware and requires a license key to use. Since it's unusable without a license, it gets one star.
