Complete scam. When I had it, it rarely found coupons and mostly just gave annoying pop ups. But now we're finding out that it was flat out stealing commission sales from creators and there's a clash action lawsuit against them happening.

Honey barely finds working coupons, slows down checkout, and spams useless pop-ups. Just Google coupons yourself, this extension is pointless.

Do Not Download Do Not Use This extension removes any reference to affiliates that you got linked from, be it from your favorite creators, or the person who reviewed the product you ended up purchasing. Honey then replaces it with Honey's own affiliate code so they would get the referral bonus instead, robbing the bonus from the person whose livelihood depended on you purchasing the item from them. You wont even see this happening, as it happens in the background, meaning you as the consumer never know it happened. Even worse, that link is stored on your systems cache, so even if you log off and end up purchasing the product a day later, its Honey that gets the credit, not the person who ended up selling you the item. Honey also makes direct deals with businesses for promo/discount codes that might not actually be the best deal you could get, but instead whatever deal the business wants you to have. Honey promotes the best price for their affiliates, not their consumers. This is the definition of false advertising and misleading information. They also steal your data so they can sell it to third parties or use it for AI or whatever else they want to do with the data. Suffice it to say, don't add this extension.

Great... when it works. But it hasn't worked properly for a long time. I'm about ready to claim my $10 giftcard and delete this extension. Pretty confident this is just another data collection scam at this point.

Giant scam and shame on google for still featuring this extension, if you would like to know why everyone is not realizing why this is a scam watch a youtuber called Mega lag's video exposing there deceitful business practices of this morally bankrupt company, may seem to still be of help but honey actively works with company's to give you worse coupons to save you less money then one's you can find else where on the internet, while claiming they "search the internet for the best coupons to save you money, where in reality they actually offer worse coupons so you dont find better ones your self and actually save you money and cut into these business's bottom line. Writing this all out seems clear why google a greedy company trying to monopolize large sections of the internet in order to destroy any change of a free market would like this because im sure they have helped google stop people getting actually good deal's on their products or services.

Honey steals money from affiliates by replacing affiliate browser cookies with their own affiliate cookie, does not give you the best coupons, and actually makes deals with businesses to limit the coupons it advertises. Honey is run by absolute scumbags. Avoid at all costs and take the few minutes to find your own coupon (it will be better anyway).

This was great up until it required a PayPal login 24/7. Now it just feels invasive and like it has access to PayPal funds constantly which is a MASSIVE red flag. Prior to that, it was excellent and worked as advertised. Now it feels scummy and shady. Keep this in mind when using for the first time that it requires a PayPal login to even run.

Very convenient and easy to use.

It's a scam. I used it for years and I was always able to find a better coupon code on the internet when Honey found a small one. When Honey couldn't find a coupon it gave me scraps AKA "Honey Gold", which I was never able to use any of it because THIS IS A SCAM. The only good feature is the price tracker but that could all be a lie as well. I'll just find my own coupons and track prices myself at this point.

AVOID. Search google for codes instead. Honey does not support affiliate links, nor will it show you the best code.

They deleted my Honey Gold points because I hadn't used them in a while. Horrible rewards program. I am not going to use them anymore.

Although this doesn't scam you, it will scam affiliates. Many influencers live off of the money they get from affiliate codes, so please do not install this or use this in any way. I am very disappointed in PayPal for doing this, and I hope Google is competent enough to take down this extension from their store.
