C'est super pour Opera et Opera GX qui ne permet pas de changer de page d'accueil.

Has been a great extension but the latest update (1 Aug '25) seems to be glitchy and certain webpages don't load correctly. I thought it was a general browser issue but after testing individual extensions, this one is the culprit so now I cannot use it. :(

Hello, before I rate, just a question, does this extension work in Incognito Mode? I have adjusted the Custom URL and allowed this extension to run in Incognito, but when I try to open a new tab in Incognito Mode, the new custom tab opens in a normal window. Do you know why this might be?

Hello, this extension works perfectly for my needs. It even works every time you open a new window and properly focuses on the address bar, so thank you! I am currently on the free trial but would like to know exactly which features in the settings itself will still be free after the trial ends and which ones will be behind the paywall. I believe this is crucial to delineate in the extension Overview (maybe even in the screenshots themselves too) and indicate that in app purchases are most likely needed in the Details section below the Overview.

Almost perfect. I would have added some effects and also the possibility to vary the time not only to 10,20... secs but alsto at 5,15,25, etc

I wanted a simple digital frame to randomly run our vacation photos on the kitchen TV. Photo Slideshow easily projects our 3,711 JPEGs and it does so randomly such that every photo seems fresh. Just tried this app after finding it on the developers website. I am trying to set the default search engine to DuckDuckGo, which is set as the default in my settings. I haven't been able to do that. Otherwise, it looks very impressive.

Instead of simply asking for a donation it now becomes adware and the creator will now restrict features. How incredibly petty to charge for something that was free for so long and to retroactively ding people who had it for years. Good luck with this bad idea, but I'm looking for an alternative and uninstalling this.

It was free for quite a long while. Now either the user pays or they get bombarded with annoying pop-ups very frequently. I will keep the extension disabled for a bit to see if the maintainers change their mind, and if they do not, I will delete it and forget about it. Do not use this extension until that change is reversed. It was neat but not too much; it's not worth paying anything for, especially when I am asked to do it or get bombarded with a pop-up.

This has been working flawlessly for the few years i have had it. but out of the blue they have turned it into what i would call addware. Every hour or so pops up a new window asking me to buy a subscription or lifetime whatever. Will never be downloading this again. While i may have considered donating somewhere down the line if the option was presented better, This feels more like harassment than anything else...

For years an excellent extension, but suddenly a bombardment of popups asking me to buy. Pity...., will uninstall.....

Hello, I'm using Opera (version 112.0.5197.30) with your New Tab Start Page extension (version 42.0), and I wanted to thank you for creating such a useful add-on. It works great overall! I'm also using the Speed Dial 2 New tab extension (version 3.8.1), and I've set it as the Custom URL in your extension. This combination works perfectly fine, and the new tab opens with the Speed Dial 2 extension as expected. However, I've encountered an issue when I enable the parameter "Focus on the Browser's Address Bar when the Custom URL opens, if supported." When this option is activated, Opera displays the following error: Web jpfpebmajhhopeonhlcgidhclcccjcik is blocked This page has been blocked by Opera ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT Is there any chance this could be resolved? I'm not sure if it's an issue with your extension, Opera, or perhaps an interaction between the two extensions. Regardless, I want to express my gratitude for your extension. It's incredibly useful, and I appreciate the work you've put into it. Thank you for your time and effort!

Popups evey few minutes what the hell

Most of the time it seems to work. But Now, you ALSO have to get used to the author's BARRAGE of advertising!! YIKES!! — Interesting Strategy: IF you just Love being Pestered!!

Worked amazingly for years, now takes seconds to load and gives me a popup about every 5 minutes asking me to buy it. NTY. Uninstalled.

I used to recommend this, but now it give you an annoying popup from time to time. Another case of a developer getting greedy and making a perfectly working tool handicapped. Oh well, there's always alternatives.

Some Chromium-based browser cannot run a 3rd theme (new tab and homepage). No matter how I try, I cannot. But this extension can fix this problem easily. Say goodbye to standard boring launcher.

Did the job on a Chromebook with a little fiddling. Wanted to have this work offline - and I found the files had to be put in the "Play Files" directory tree - not the "Downloads" tree. The "folder" address for the Slideshow "Options" was something like file:///run/arc/sdcard/write/emulated/0/Pictures - in case that helps someone else. To find the address of the folder I dragged a photo from the Files window to a Chrome window - and the the path needed for "Options" was shown in the Chrome address bar. One star off for the tech fiddling and also would have liked an option to have the photos be static on the Slideshow - not just in motion (panning). But thank you for sharing this extension!

I've used this off and on and found it to be wonderful. Unfortunately, with Chrome 118 update, the ability to use a local file as a new tab page no longer seems to work. Thanks for your help!

I liked it much, much more when it didn't require copy & paste permission. I can't read the code but even if it's now harmful, once the permission is granted the developer could always change its behaviour in any future update. What a shame, I found it very useful. Please remove c&p requirement!

I accidentally found this extension by someone's mention on another page and now I am able to use Tab for a Cause on Opera GX, and all the other features are super useful as well! It made me so happy, thank you for making this!

Great extension! It works perfectly on Vivaldi however in Microsoft Edge the new tab opens with a white background. I have the system set to dark mode and if I just load google.com in Edge it has a dark background. Is there a way to force the dark background? Thanks!

I am using it in Opera. And it works great. I am using it to override Opera's silly override of custom speed dial in a new tab. This is to use FVD Speed Dial. Just one suggestion. When new tab is loaded, would that be possible to highlight in browser address bar and extension URL/page address selected in Custom URL in options? Reason: it would allow user to start typing a search phrase immediately after selecting a new tab. Current Focus on Address Bar just adds caret at the end of URL

great, but is there a way to make search bar empty after opening a new tab? there's a feature for focusing on url, but i am used to opening a new tab and typing immediatly, only to then realise, that my search looks like this: "pncpfofkienlinhfknpmgjnjhdoclfhh/newtab.htmlwikipedia", instead of just "wikipedia". it's very annoying, can you please fix this? :( It would be cool if url auto selected, not just focused, so when you type, it erases the "chrome-extension://pncpfofkienlinhfknpmgjnjhdoclfhh/newtab.html".

How do you get an extension's url to paste in as your new tab page?

Great extension, works flawlessly on Opera. One suggestion that would improve it a lot for me is to clean or select the URL text when opening a new tab. Usually a hit Ctrl+T to open a new tab and the directly write the URL that I want to go to, I have the 'Focus on the browser addess bar' option selected but still a bit annoying having to delete the address everytime in order to write the new one. Anyways, great extension, thanks for the good work.
