Not enough options on the options page - you can't set which tab to activate when closing a tab.

Works great also for Edge. It was added on the Right click menu as "remove from History" That just does it

Finally one that works in March 2025 after "right click" extensions removed with the latest update. Just click the mouse wheel and the link opens and you are sent to it. Also works with 3 finger click on the touchpad. I hope Google leave it alone for a while!

Since I see you're working on a project similar, would be be kind enough to either create a "New Extension" or maybe just Add the feature to this one, so as to "Open Favorites in New Tab"? You can even have a setting in which we choose if we want the Favorite to open in the Background or Foreground, as well as your options, the end of row or next to open tab. Need it to work with Edge, but you likely don't have to do anything extra since most Chrome extensions work with Edge, though depending on how it needs to work I don't know. Anyway, this is a long needed feature, desperate. Thanks

いつも利用させてもらっています。 数日前から新しいタブで開くをしてもアクティベート新規タブが動作したりしなかったりするようになりました。 完全に動作しない訳でもないのでどうしたものかと思ってます。。。

Ahhh… Finally an extension that works. I tried several extensions that purport to open a tab next to the current tab but only this one does that. One problem though. It is too aggressive. It opens and SWITCHES to the new tab. I usually open several tabs before switching myself to the open tabs. This needs to provide such an option to be perfect.

Scrambles tab order when Chrome reloads. Needs more options in terms of blank tabs opened vs. new tabs opened from links.

Simple, doesn't collect data, just works. It's ridiculous that this feature is still not in basic browser settings in most Chromium-based browser.

Straight to the point, exactly what I wanted. things I clicked on in google results that were the wrong thing make researches hard to find something you know you already found. forgetting one so its not colored as visited really helps.

設定＞起動時 で「前回開いていたページを開く」にしていると、起動時に前回終了時にアクティブだったタブではないタブがアクティブになり、タブの順番もバラバラになるようになりました。 「アクティベート新規タブ」を無効にすると問題ありません。 「Tabs to Front」、「Tabs to Front v2」でも同じ症状が発生しました。 新規プロフィールで「アクティベート新規タブ」のみインストールした状態や、Braveブラウザでも同様です。 Chromeでは必須の拡張機能なので、修正していただけると助かります。

Vivaldiで使っています。 以前は、Tab to front等の他の拡張で問題なかったですが、昨年くらいのバージョンのVivaldiから他の拡張では、ホイールクリックでリンクを新タブで開く際、末尾のタブから開かないとアクティブにならなくなってしまいました。 この拡張はどの場所のタブからホイールクリックでリンククリックしても、開いたタブがアクティブになってくれます。 非常にありがたい拡張です。 I use this extension in Vivaldi. Unlike other extensions, this extension works well.
