REALLY good :) i recommend this to ANY student that uses canvas at school! there's a percentage bar and everything like, themes, colours, even a to-do list! Thank you to the developers and people (maybe even students) who made this! This has definitely made school easier. Thanks!

Always shows overdue assignments as a pop-up when all of my assignments are completed, on time. It's a cute extension though.

It's really cute, but for some reason every time I'd log back onto my canvas it would not appear.

What is this update!!! please bring back the old version. now you have to pay much less all of my themes are gone. I'm actually devastated i loved better canvas as it made canvas bearable now i cant handle this update.

I really really liked the old BetterCanvas but this update left a lot to be desired for me. The new To-Do list is a good idea in concept but theres just some design choices that make it harder to use in my opinion. For example, the To-Do list being broken into drop down menus based on assignment due date. I appreciate that they are sorted by due date like in the old To-Do list, but I absolutely despise that they are all collapsed by default except for what is due soonest. Even if you expand all of the dropdowns, they'll all close again when you reload Canvas. I could easily see myself not recognizing that an assignment exists until the day it is due because of this. The old To-Do list was nice because you could easily see, at a glace, upcoming assignments even if they ranged across multiple days/weeks. To solve this, I'd love an option to have dropdowns open by default, or an option to have a simple assignment list (no dropdowns) like the old To-Do list had. I also don't love that the To-Do list is now broken into displaying only chunks of assignments based on the timeframe you set (ex. 1 week, 2 week). The old To-Do list didn't work like this. If you had an assignment due 2 months from now, you'd see it there, given there weren't too many sooner assignments such that that assignment was outside of your "maximum number of assignments to display" preference. I'd love to see that come back. I also wish that if you had enabled the BetterCanvas To-Do list, the built in To-Do list, "Coming up" list, and "Recent feedback" were hidden. There are a couple of settings that seem to be broken at the moment, like "hide the BetterCampus logo". I don't mind the developers creating some premium features, I understand wanting to make some money off of a successful service, but putting features that were originally free behind an account-wall or pay-wall is seriously lame. (I just want to set a sidebar picture like I was able to before, why do I now need an account?? :/ ). I have no problem with new features having these restrictions, but punishing legacy users by taking away things they used to be able to have free access to just isn't fair. Finally, with all due respect, STOP with the "You're missing out!" page everytime you click back on an account-wall'd feature. I understand it like once or twice, but every single time is excessive and really annoying for someone whose still trying to interact with different new things they see, not knowing they're locked behind an account. Other than those complaints, I still enjoy BetterCanvas and I hope the developers will continue to make improvements in the future.

I liked the old one, and I had SEVERAL themes that I had personally made for myself that are all gone now. I am a student in undergrad with an undergrad budget -- there is nothing on BetterCampus that I think is worth spending my already limited money on. Upgrading the UI might have been worth it for me if it didn't get rid of themes that I had made for my own personal use. And before someone says that I should have send them to be evaluated and published, they left me stalled for MONTHS on one that I did try to do that with (for a popular media that I had not even seen a theme for that character of). Very disappointed because I had over a years worth of my own themes saved on there for holidays, games that I enjoy and no one else has published, and ones that I even put together for my friends. ETA: And only having so many free swaps a week and creations a month? I won't even be in school long enough to recreate all of the themes I had and liked. Seriously? Not everything needs to be a cash grab or a side hustle.

Recent changes made in poor taste.

I thought this would be really cool and fun to do. I have tried to reach out to support but emails will not go through. When you try to upload or link any image for your class cards, it will not work. I was most excited for this part. I tried everything. I went into my settings. Turned the extension off then back on, refreshed. Nothing will work. I made sure that the size and type or image was correct as well. Super bummed.

I removed it for a class now then I redownloaded it. It's terrible. I want my old BetterCanvas back. I want the old to-do list and none of these upgraded items. I don't want it behind a paywall.

I looooved betterCanvas but for some reason now I can't search anything anymore </3 Which is sad, I can only use whatever themes are on the front page : (

Great extension, greatly improved my Canvas experience. Almost makes school bearable!

I want back better canvas it was way better than whatever this is and even easier. If you are gonna update something, the past information and settings and all should transfer over along with a choice with whichever version you want. Now I have to set up everything again.

Whenever I try to use the study section it just keeps loading and loading, without actually opening up, but my overall experience with my schoolwork and everything is amazing, would recommend to others.

I just downloaded this onto my Canvas and i am OBSESSED!

Was using BetterCanvas for years and absolutely loved it! I now love what they've done with BetterCampus, but I am struggling with actually being able to use it. I am not sure if my university blocked the extension (because I was able to use it before) or if it's a different problem. It won't let me log in with my school email but I can with my regular gmail (yet it still doesn't work when I do that and constantly logs out). Very upset that this is happening cause this really helped me be on top of my assignments :(

I used to really like this extention. They have now over complicated it and made it incredably complicated to edit anything. To edit the phots of your canvas you must now edit everything there is no option to just change one thing. Also randone things are edited like the background of just my dashboard button on my side bar. This would be su much better if they kept the older style. Also having to make an accout to do anything is very anoying. My school doest alow us to make accouts so i am working with limited options. I whole heartedly belive that the old/ Better Canvas was better in all parts.

It has many nice things but there are a lot of pop-up notifications that I cant disscard and even if i finish my asinghment it does not update it is very annoying.

This extension is great, however TO THE ADMIN TEAM, I'm currently wondering if it is possible to get this extension to work on my city colleges infrastructure. It looks exactly like canvas, however when I try to activate the extension it says "Head to Canvas to activate BetterCampus". If anyone is able to reach out to me, I would be able to answer more questions if this explanation isn't thorough.

Personally, I don't like this new update to better campus. It is supposed to be for students to enjoy being on their canvas a bit more with their themes. At least that's the reason I used it. Now, they are simply trying to limit the amount of times we can change the themes. Also, the other version "better canvas" was easier to navigate the overall settings.

Really enjoying this extension, but there seems to be a bug. I'm trying to create an account to look at more themes, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've tried signing up via email and Google, and when I click sign up, it just sits there and doesn't do anything.

Has some flagrant issues; otherwise an indispensable extension that's superior to regular Canvas in every metric. Issues that must be fixed though - extension downloadable for MS Edge and Brave - support for syncing with calendar; currently I am stuck on a loading screen for both my browsers and price says "$NaN/month" - smoother interface...extremely laggy and slow when navigating Overall an amazing extension, but the lack of support for other browsers, specifically with regard to GCal/MS Cal settings, restricts it from receiving 5-stars from me.

Holy smokes the default graphic design choices when making a custom theme are appalling. I tend to like a white background on Canvas. Unfortunately, when making a theme like that, the shadows when you hover on a card are incredibly sharp and unnatural looking. The shadow intensity should be customizable. Also, why does the entire box darken to nearly black when hovering over an item in "modules"? And why can't we customize the roundness of the big ugly borders in the modules section to begin with?

Is nice to change things about canvas, makes you pay money to change some of the cosmetic stuff and super sucks about using Ai and it wont let me zoom out of my screen which is super annoying but other than that it's cool i guess.

I loved the old program, but this new one is awful. The overhaul on design has made it majorly clunky, it seems there was no bug testing prior to launch and now it just feels like a slimy way to make money off of college students. It is inaccessible with a screen reader, buttons don't work, it is incredibly intrusive and distracting from my college work. I get the name change but this is utterly useless now.

I downloaded, uninstalled, it reinstalled it over 5 times, as well as clearing my cache and restarting my mac, and nothing is working! It updates my canvas to the "better canvas" version then disappears after 2 seconds then I get a message saying "head to Canvas to activate" when I am in my canvas! I have also updated the extension using your link!

Ive seen people on TikTok say it can be used on blackboard however when i try to use it, it say activate but i am unsure how to do so .

I loved it when it was better canvas bc I was able to use my gpa calculator but now it's greyed out? I don't know if it's behind a paywall but that was one of my favorite features so I'm really sad it's not working. I can see it, I just cant use it.

I love being able to change the theme of my canvas classes, but here recently anytime I go to the themes tab it brings up a little tab saying "there was a problem getting themes from the bettercanvas server". It shows the old themes that were there when I first installed it last year. It does not show any of the new or updated themes that is said were added.

Awesome so far! I've only tried the free version so I dont know how good the study aid or any other premium features are but all of the free stuff is great! I mostly got this to have a dark mode so my eyes didn't get so destroyed from staying up late doing schoolwork. but the other theming options were more in depth then I expected. Its also super nice seeing my completion of assignments and what's due at a glace which is very nice. I also would be interested in trying premium if it wasn't a monthly fee of $15 I personally would rather just to pay once but I know pretty much everything is a subscription now days. but if then ever did a non-subscription model I would probably give it a try

great features but not being able to do anything with out signing in to their service sucks, especially when it asks me to sign in constantly.

hey, I'm having a little problem here, the extension doesn't recognize when I'm on Canvas, even though I already updated Chrome it stills shows the same pop up asking me to head to Canvas. Can you help me solve it?

As a PA student with exams pretty much every week, time is always tight. Tools like BetterCampus honestly make a huge difference by taking some of the pressure off studying, especially when there’s no time to make detailed quizlets or study guides. The team behind it is also super responsive with bugs and quick fixes, which I really appreciate. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. I genuinely wish something like this existed when I was in undergrad, it would’ve meant way more time for friends and family.

Can't say enough how much I love the new update. Perfect for people with ADHD because it makes me love to open up my canvas. The new study and task tools are also super helpful and amazing.

I've been using this extension for almost two years now, and I really love being able to have a more customizable interface. However, with this update, my entire Canvas is super buggy and is causing lots of issues. The biggest example right now that I've noticed is whenever I'm opening an pdf file, the entire interface changes from what it was originally, making it rather annoying to suddenly have to relearn the interface to a website where it's not that interface when standing by itself. A lot of the pdf files I can not open to full screen anymore, and it'll just glitch out and refuse to open. It also automatically opens up the AI study tool, making the entire screen more cluttered than it is. I also find it interesting that you can only change your theme 3 times per week now, I don't recall this being in the old version. I just find this new update to cause more clutter than necessary on my Canvas. While there are a lot of nice new features, I just found the old version more straightforward and less in your face.

Ive recently downloaded this extension and in the beginning it was working perfectly fine. It was showing me my assignments, announcements, and I was able to change the theme to my liking. Even going as far as spending hours to create my own personal theme. Problems started to occur when I had opened another canvas tab and it hadn't loaded and showed up as the set canvas default. I first tried clicking the extension only for it to say "Head to Canvas to activate BetterCampus!". I tried opening another canvas tab and sit nothing. I was like okay fine whatever let me delete it and redownload it and see if that works. It began working slightly because now I can at least see the font changes, color changes and the background but my cards aren't working, and none of the other features like the to-dos are working. I tried over and over again but nothing and another problem was that the minute I clicked one of my classes the entire theme would just go away and reset back to canvas default. Its currently on version 8.0.1 and I don't know what else to do to fix it this app seems to have great potential but these bugs that are happening completely ruin the main features.

the new overhaul has introduced friction with this new update, which i find uncessasary. the paywalls are annoying, the ui is obnoxious and in your face, and it's just overall a worse user experience. i understand what the developers were going for, but most people just want to change colors and add some custom card images

old version was better for what i needed. some of the new features are nice, but the older version was much more user-friendly (especially for southern hemisphere students when it comes to gpa/past courses)

when it turned to bettercampus it got bad i would not use this anymore. its extremely confusing and does not do everything it used to.
