As long as you update the computer software and the protection software and restart, it shouldn't be a problem. That and,clean up the clutter. ALLWAYS INSTALL when start NEW PROFILE! But I don't give any permission. It uses scripts and run all the time when I open a new profile! In all browsers. Deleting doesn't help, reinstalling the browser doesn't help! Clearing the registry does not help! Nothing helps! I installed Avira antivirus once. A day later, 3 errors appeared in the browser that someone was trying to install the Avira SafeShopping, Avira Browser Safety, Avira Password Manager extensions. Immediately deleted everything. But as soon as I open a new profile in the browser - immediately this error! Nothing helps! Avira tech support ignores this problem! They just imposed this garbage on me! I don't want to see it EVER

Total scam where it suggested half-price for a 2TB product if you installed the extension. The half-price was actually for a 500mb version.

I have had this extension for some years but since March 2021 I have deduced that it reduces the performance of Google search in Chrome. A search page will return results but then "hang" with "page unresponsive" and I have reached the point of disabling it.

War sehr gut vor allem als Ad-Blocker. Seit das Update da ist, erscheint wieder Werbung. Schade, war meiner Meinung nach mit der beste Ad-Blocker, was Werbeanzeigen beim streamen anging.

Avira als Virenspezialist ist absolut TOP - nutze ich seit über 15 Jahren - aber die Erweiterungs-App Avira-Safe-Shopping ist furchtbar. Von evtl. Seiten die negativ sind bekomme ich fast nix mit, vermutlich weil ich auf solche kaum treffe. Allerdings ist der Preisvergleich innerhalb dieser App absolut "UNTAUGLICH"! Man geht bei Googlesuche z. B. auf einen namhaften Modeartikel in der Suche mit "Name und Modell", findet etwas auf einer passenden Shoppingseite. Geht man auf diese Shoppingseite, schon öffnet sich der Preisvergleich von Avira oben, verdeckt die Menüleiste der eigentlichen Webseite um mir..... a) mehrere Preisvergleiche zu zeigen zu einer Brille der Marke, zu einem anderen Artikel der Marke etc. Also rein gar nix was mit der eigentlichen Suche zu tun hatte. b) um mehrere ähnliche Artikel anzuzeigen, auch hier teils andere Typen als das was man sucht und entsprechend nur anderer Marken als der Gesuchten. Habe es für mich wieder entfernt, als Schutz für Webseiten und Viren bleibt es, da es das beste ist was ich kennenlernen durfte bisher.

Got a pop up: "Your Avira Safe Shopping Windows app has been uninstalled* for something better" why got this message when have both of them? Avira Safe Shopping and Avira Browser Safety. When I do "add to chrome".. this doing nothing just show that I already have Avira Safe Shopping.... This is weird. thx for info.

Merely after uninstalling this Chrome-extension, I realised that this extension was 'guilty' of slowing down Youtube, when it took several seconds to switch between Youtube-window- & Y-t-full-screen-mode. Otherwise, it would probably be an useful extension, but, because of ditto, i need to look for an alternative.
