This is absolutely amazing and I use it everyday in my studies, you can copy and paste text as large as you like, I use the free version and I dread the day when limits get added so they can make the $$$ however today it is not working and I can't find anything as near as good as this . Do you know when it will be back up (on chrome) ?

Honestly for a free text to speech its super good. I just highlight my words and then click on the speech button to read it out to me. Its helped alot for studying instead of my eyes getting tired from reading, i just listen, and the AI bot doesn't have a weird voice either!

It really doesn't get better than this, unless you are willing to pay for a dedicated TTS service.

Never have written a review for an extension till now. Author is quick to respond to emails asking for help or assistance, which is a huge plus for me! Also the voices that are currently available are of very high quality and the speed adjustment is awesome. I hope this stays as a mostly-free extension! 100/10 recommend if you have issues sitting down to read things either due to time constrains or focus. Absolutely awesome

Very easy to use and very good. I wonder though is there any way of making it follow the text as it reads? I know sometimes it locks to random points and highlights random sentences but, as I said it's random as far as I can tell. It'd be much easier to follow if that was possible.

Download feature does not work for me. I do not get the checkboxes so that I can select posts to download, and reporting a problem results in an error. The plugin's website contact page does not work either. After typing everything in and clicking the submit button I get an error that says the email cannot be sent. I guess I have to hope the developer checks his reviews occasionally.

It's so easy to use, doesn't sound too robotic, has no limits in the number of characters, and no limited trials or anything like that. As a student, this greatly helps me with all of my reading materials. The AI isn't accurate at reading large numbers (like 44,500,000) and title abbreviations (like Atty.) however, so it's something you have to personally edit in your text if you want it without mistakes. Would still recommend this to other people.

It's a great extension! Thank you for letting us use it even if we choose not to pay/can't afford the premium version. I'd like to know if it's possible to update it in the future (if you have access to this feature/option) so that the voices place emphasis on the correct parts of words, as sometimes when using the extension, the voice places too much stress/intonation on certain words in a sentence, making the speech flow a little unnatural.

Ehhh, it does have potential so I gave it a positive 2 stars for effort however, unless I can highlight text, right click and play, it's useless to me. Let me know when if you ever get to that point. Keep it up.

Please add a feature so the text is followed with the voice, so we dont have to scroll. And changing pitch of voice for downloading and listening would be perfection. Highlighting the read sentences would be beyond perfection! And a quick paste and read button within right click context menu! Thanks! edit: from 5 star to 1 start because there is a 2500 charcter limit! Are you kidding me!! even worst tts has 10k limit. uninstalled.

Literally perfect for reading, the subscription is reasonable and is not required but does offer helpful features.

Great extension for if you can't sit through reading long homework assignments (I used it for Spanish hw, I'm fluent in it but very slow at reading). 10/10. Im so glad i found this in a reddit thread, I had been searching for like 30+ minutes for a free text to speech, and this was exactly what I needed. I also appreciate the no-character limit on the free version and the option for premium features, which I may end up getting later for school assignments. Thanks for this man! :)

So far, so good! No issues so far, and I love the voices. I also love that it's not expensive. I would definitely recommend it.

This was a great program, when free. I understand asking for 5.00 a month but after giving it to us for free it feels wrong. I can completely understand if you gave us the option to pay 5.00 for a premium subscription with extra features but to start charging for something that was originally free just doesn't make senses. You said in a previous comment " I have been spent hours (months even) on this project and kept it free. Due to my personal situation, I wanted to get support" You spending hours to do something is a choice you made. And out of the "kindness" of your heart you gave a great program. Now your "kindness" has been effected and the "money" is getting to you. You also said " If u want the entire extension, you can always just take a few weeks/months to code up a similar extension" That is a rude comment to make to that reviewer. You should treat people better. When people see you behaving this way they will not support you or download your product for that matter.

i like it so far i use the voice maple, i would prefer more voices like elven reader especially better Australian or English accent ones because i like those accents and i would prefer a voice similar to maple or Arabella, i also think the British accent voice u have already is pretty bad and sounds similar to someone giving announcements through a speaker at an airport (its probably deterring british customers that are bad at understanding american english so i would add another british more natural sounding voice similar to maples pitch or arabellas)

Incredible...for a measly 5 dollars, you get something as good as amazon Polly. Beautiful job with the extension and i hope it finds success because this is a life saver. Had to do a bunch of courses and i put them all in audio so i could listen to them while travelling and its marvelous. excellent job, cant say enough good things about it.

Muốn download thì bạn phải chèn văn bản và nhấn vào download, bạn không nghe thử được nên xảy ra vấn đề là file âm thanh bản tải về có thể giọng đọc bị lỗi ở phần nào đó ( Giọng AI nên vấn đề bị lỗi khi đọc thường xuyên xảy ra ). Do đó bạn phải làm lại thao tác, và nghe thử khi tải file về. 3. Trước khi download về được bạn phải nằm ở hàng đợi ( tài khoản free ). Rất mong admin phục hồi lại tính năng vừa nghe vừa có thể download trên cửa sổ đó, để chúng tôi có thể kiểm tra được file âm thanh đó có vừa ý hay không. I used it over 2 days, and was about to share it to my community but then it slapped me with a pro subscription. It suddenly removed the voice I used to use for free and wants me to subscribe for a pro version. Removed the extension immediately.

A little glitchy and needs a lot more options for customization, but has a lot of potential. Good extension.
