It works. When they removed server side processing for HEIC 265 there were hacky ways of implementing it yourself way. Now this is available im okay with it. I wish it told me progression, what is being converted and how many more left.

This browser extension barely works continuously — after browsing just a few pages of photos in Synology Photos, it shows that the image assistant tool has stopped working and needs to be restarted from the extension library. If the product is this poorly made, don’t take shortcuts just to save a little money by taking AME offline entirely. It’s really disappointing!

It installed into my Chrome browser on linux, but then found out it also needs to be used in conjunction with the desktop app...but they don't offer a linux app. If they did offer a linux app then I wouldn't need the Chrome extension. Hey Synology how about a little more support toward the linux community.

This is a terrible piece of software that should not exist. Why is the desktop application unsigned? Synology has become a totally unserious organization.
