Primer Pay

Primer Pay is a browser wallet that automatically handles x402 micropayments as you browse. When you visit content protected by an x402 paywall, Primer Pay seamlessly authorizes payment and unlocks access - no signup forms, no subscriptions, no friction.

How it works

The x402 protocol enables websites to request small payments (from fractions of a cent upwards) directly over HTTP. When you visit an x402-enabled site, Primer Pay detects the payment request, checks it against your configured limits, and if approved, signs a gasless USDC authorization. The content unlocks instantly, and you continue browsing.

Getting started

• Install the extension and create a new wallet (or import an existing one with a recovery phrase or private key) • Fund your wallet with USDC on Base • Configure your spend limits in Settings • Browse x402-enabled sites - payments happen automatically within your limits

Security

Primer Pay is a non-custodial wallet. Your private keys are generated locally, encrypted, and never transmitted. We cannot access your funds, recover your PIN, or reverse transactions. You are in full control.
