I have been a loyal Otter Pro user for several years. I recently had to use an upgraded package due to the unusual length of the recording. I already had a balance of $60 or so on my account, this has disappeared. When I wanted to revert to my Pro Package my account was removed with no credit at all! I now have a free account, which is useless for my needs. I have since tried customer service but they don’t seem to exist! I am very disappointed with Otter. In the past I have won many customers for them as an enthusiastic advocate, not any more! I do need the software and have had to pay for another year’s Pro licence, through "gritted teeth"! So, they owe me the balance from last years fee! But there is no one to speak to. Non-existent customer service is a killer for me!

why do you need microphone access when you just have to record system sound , second theres no option for selescting only system sound and proceed , third 300 min per month ????? obvisly need more and then that timer worst

Very accurate transcript for google meet meetings. It's also very easy to start and end a recording!

I love using this extension for transcribing Youtube videos and basically any audio playing on my browser! It's been very accurate so far in picking up words even when the person has an accent. I sometimes use it for my Google meetings and I like that it automatically starts recording when my meeting starts and there's no annoying bot in the meeting room so that I can be discreet about it.

Cheap, accurate, and easy to use! Really deserve a 5-star and please keep up the good work!

Honestly, Otter blows the competition out of the water. It’s not just another cheap transcription tool, it actually feels like someone put real thought into making this. The live transcription is super accurate (looking at you, Zoom AI/Meet/Teams), the interface is smooth, and it just works without any weird glitches or hoops to jump through. I’ve tried some of those newer, bargain-bin options (looking at you, Granola), and they don’t even come close. Otter feels polished and reliable, and it’s obvious the team cares about making something genuinely useful. If you want a tool that won’t let you down, this is it. Oh, and the otter dp is so cute 🥹
