Description

The USCG Navy Book Builder generates a vessel-type-specific U.S. Coast Guard regulatory reference PDF directly from the U.S. Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (ecfr.gov). Select your vessel type -- Towing Vessels (Subchapter M), Small Passenger Vessels (Subchapter T), Tank Vessels (Subchapter D), or Cargo and Miscellaneous Vessels (Subchapter I) -- and the extension fetches the appropriate 46 CFR parts, combines them with five universal parts, and assembles a complete PDF saved to your Downloads folder.

Every generated Navy Book includes the universal 46 CFR parts required across vessel types: Part 4 (Procedures Applicable to Marine Casualties), Part 10 (Merchant Mariner Credential), Part 12 (Certification of Ratings), Part 15 (Manning Requirements), and Part 67 (Vessel Documentation). These are combined with the vessel-type-specific subchapter parts covering construction, equipment, inspection, and operations requirements for the selected vessel category. Every fetch retrieves live text from the official eCFR API.

Add your vessel name or organization and it appears on the cover page alongside the vessel type designation. The result is a current, vessel-appropriate regulatory reference for vessel owners, masters, mates, marine inspectors, naval architects, and maritime attorneys -- formatted for professional use.
