This is the best extension I've found for syncing bookmarks across browsers. It's not perfect, but for a free tool, its functionality is impeccable. Many thanks to the author. I highly recommend this extension to anyone who needs to maintain the same set of bookmarks across multiple browsers.

Great now I've got it working, but there's a problem in the profile config that took me far too long to work out. It asks you what filename you want to sync to (defaults to bookmarks.xbel) which I didn't change or give a second though to, because why would I? but then, after that asks you what file format (i.e. HTML or XBEL). I chose HTML (because that's what my browser outputs, and I prefer compatibility). I then continued moving DOWN the options as anyone would, not thinking I'd have to go back up and change the filename extension manually as well. I kept getting sync errors when I connected a second system up, stating the XBEL file in my github repo was badly formed, and that's because the XBEL file was actually a HTML file. I would urge floccus to make it so that when a user chooses a filetype, that the filename extension also updates. OR put the filename after the filetype selection, where it will be more obvious it needs to be manually changed.

Super extension pratique pour synchroniser ses bookmarks entre les divers navigateurs, pour ma part je m'appuie sur Google drive pour le stockage. Pas de pub ou nuisance, code open source c'est rare et d'autant plus appréciable.
