why does this extension now require a log in when it did not before?

Stopped working. Something about allowing "embedded chat access", that I couldn't figure out.

Does not let you use without an account, and when you click login, it still does not work. Avoid at all costs. EDIT: After going into the Brave browser shield and allowing third party cookies the extension works.

Now requires a login, even though it worked perfectly without it before. I can't recommend this extension anymore.

There's been some kind of janky account requirement added, and it simply doesn't work on Youtube now. No idea if this is a precursor to the usual bit of the extension getting sold and turned into malware but it's worth keeping an eye on.
