The old version with summary history was better. The new summaries are also less organized and I liked the old color. Please bring it back!

Snippy Summary is such a cool app! It helps me get the main idea of YouTube videos without watching the whole thing. Super handy when I’m short on time or just wanna know what a video’s about. The summaries are pretty accurate too. Definitely a must-have if you’re into learning stuff quickly and easily!

It only works on videos that ALREADY have a transcription, but still good enough!

I've tried it briefly, and I'm very satisfied!

I originally installed Snippy Summary just to get a quick look at long technical videos on youtube, but now I find myself hitting the summarize button under almost every video to get a preview of what I'll be looking at. It's been great to quickly understand key points or highlights without having to scrub through an entire video. Once I forgot to toggle the language option, and got a Korean video summarized in English instead of Korean, but that ended up being a game changer because now I use snippy summary to dig into more global language content that I rarely thought to look at. With foreign language videos, the summaries aren't perfect, and there's still room for improvement, but AI is evolving fast, and I can see this getting better over time. Despite it's current limitations, I'm genuinely impressed by how well it extracts key points on complex topics translates them into English. Definitely recommend using it for quickly grasping key insights from any video, and also great for folks who want to explore content beyond their native language.
