I just want to sort Tab Groups. Or have any basic organizational tool. Unfortunately, this created a ton of duplicates (10-30 copies of each tab group) which makes the resulting bookmark folders unmanageable.
When performing a search for a Google tab group, I can navigate to the desired group using the Tab key. However, pressing Enter to open the selected group creates a duplicate group instead of opening the existing one. Steps to Reproduce: Search for a Google tab group. Use the Tab key to highlight/select the desired group in the results list. Press Enter to open the group. Expected Behavior: The selected tab group should open without creating a duplicate. Actual Behavior: A duplicate tab group is created. Notes: This issue does not occur when selecting the group with the mouse click. The bug only appears when navigating with the keyboard (Tab + Enter). Impact: Leads to unnecessary duplicate groups and extra cleanup work.
I've been using Sync Tab Groups which was GREAT but Google killed it! This is the closest I've seen to it so far. Mostly very nice, but there's a few things I'd like to see added, mostly an option to close all other groups when a new one is opened, and a way to drag tabs to another group within the dropdown. BUT I'm not holding my breath here... this app hasn't been updated in 2.5 years so I'm afraid the author has given it up. So I'll keep looking...
works mostly ok however now chrome has built in tab group management, so doesnt add a lot of functionality (on chrome dev dec 2024)
very slow to open and use. - also it bookmarks all your windows.
I've seen a few of the bugs that others have mentioned in the past, but not recently so perhaps they've been resolved. I like the new button in Bookmarks bar and the ability to pin groups there. I organize tab groups by color; that is a great visual aid for me. What I find is missing for me is a way to sort groups in the list provided under the Bookmarks bar button. What's come to mind for me is the ability to sort alphabetically by name or chronologically by date created or by date modified. I believe all of that is available in chrome's storage of bookmarks. It could also be interesting to sort by color. Happy to describe this further if you have interest in pursuing this, Eiji.
The idea is terrific, but periodically, for reasons I can't explain, it creates duplicate groups of bookmarks, sometimes identical, sometimes not; sometimes with the same folder names, sometimes with numbers as names.
Please create export/ import function. Thanks.
