I have had this extension for some years and used it where I could to make those skinny grey fonts more readable. It was user friendly and did what it said. However, Jarrad recently updated it to include a semibold option. This opened up a whole new world for me - it is now the most used tool in my computer. No more skinny grey fonts and no more ugly black bolds. I read a lot of newspapers and I'm yet to encounter a strange font that I can't easily make more readable. In spite of it's name, it works just as well on Edge. Give it a try.
I'm glad I ignored the 2.8-star rating and tried this out. It's a huge and immediate quality-of-life improvement. People complaining that they have to pay for this are ridiculous. ("sOmE pEoPlE aCtUaLlY nEeD tHiS.) Socialism does not work. If you think this extension should be free, learn to code and write it yourself. Jarrad, if you're not asking actual users for reviews post two weeks, maybe you should be. (This would also remind "absent minded, elderly people who did not intend to continue after the 2 weeks were finished" to cancel; I would hope that's a positive for you.) Also, I don't see a link to your other extensions. Anything else I might need?
Asking money for... what?
Great app, my older grandparents have poor vision and now are more confident on the computer :)
I was prepared to trial this (2 weeks free), in spite of the fact that the developer is asking too much money for the purchase). HOWEVER he is insisting we GIVE OUR CARD DETAILS, at the beginning of the two eek trial. The only valid reason for that is - he gains extra funds from absent minded, elderly people who did not intend to continue after the 2 weeks were finished. I challenge anyone to tell me - why wouldn't it be ok for us to give card details when we finally decide to make the purchase (at end of two weeks).
This has really saved me from a lot of squinting and frustration in reading. Definitely recommend. Thank you
Hi - This is a great benefit to me, so leaving my positive review below but want to ask whether the darker text can be turned on for Google geneally? I use Windows 11 and that is clearly meant for eagles and hawks as the type is vanishing small and faint. I will pay a second fee to be able to darken everything. Please respond. Meanwhile for others, my review is below. highly recommended. I have been using this for some months and I could not read my daily onlife newspaper without it. It is well worth the few dollars it costs to be able to read again. I can chooce size and darkness of type - mostly. But when I open the Comments section to read readers' comments, that is in the light font the newspaper uses. Is there some way to make this darker, too? And is there a version I can install for Windows 11?
I purchased this product for my wife to use on her Chromebook so that she could navigate easily. She has severe vision problems that can not be addressed with just the existing accessibility options available. The product was paid for and no email with a product key arrived. I went to the website to obtain the product key and after registering her and then searching for the purchase in every conceivable place, still no product key. An email was sent yet still no response. At this time I will have to either cancel the order and go to the trouble with PayPal to get a refund or just accept that I am out the $27 US dollars for this purchase.
There is no way to test the extension, it doesn't work. Writes that you need to enter some kind of license key.
My grandparents have struggled with chromes default font size so I purchased this for them. It is extremely helpful and straightforward for them to use. If you have loved ones that struggle reading chromes font size, I would highly recommend this extension.
some people actually need this and youre charging for it.
