I noticed this has the exact same name, icon, and description as the original "Redirector" extension, but the developer is different. The trusted, original version is by developer Einar Egilsson and has been available for many years with 356 comments(current version is 3.5.3). This fake version uses a higher version number (5.0) to trick users into thinking it's a new update. This is a common tactic for malicious extensions. Installing this could put your security and privacy at risk (data theft, unwanted ads, etc.). I strongly recommend you search for "Redirector" and install the official version from developer Einar Egilsson. I am reporting this to Google and encourage others to do the same.

It simply does not work.

Redirector has always been great for managing redirections for all sites & "apps" from one extension. At least if you don't want/need to delve into 'monkey' userscripts, which are next-level versatile & powerful - but not to everyones taste. This V3 revival seems to redirect just as well on Opera as the original by Einar Egilsson (RIP). Migrating between is also easy using the export & import function. However, there are currently some regressive UI issues on Opera. The 'R' icon used to adapt to dark mode (now it's barely visible), and the text on the "Disable Redirector" + "Edit Redirects" buttons overlap each other. So I'll continue using the original on Opera. If you're wondering why I use Opera, for starters it still supports adblocking, and its unique Workspaces feature.
