Chrome came up with a privacy error upon logging in saying "Forensic OSINT Full Page Screen Capture was added remotely". When Sync is on, I understand if a browser adds extensions to newly installed or previously logged out instances, however, instead of prompting to allow, it simply stated as a fact that this extension had been free to capture anything on my screen anytime as it pleases. My screen had every now and than flashed in an identical manner to a screenshot being done without any action from me. Now, it makes more sense why I have wrongly been researching my graphics driver's bugs for this. If I wanted to make a hasty conclusion, I would say beware, this extension is dodgy. But I am not. Hence, if the developer responds to this review publicly with a realistic and reasonable explanation, I will be happy to reconsider warning others.
I'm still early in my OSINT journey, but tools like Forensic OSINT make learning both accessible and impactful. As someone passionate about cybersecurity, I see immense value in the ability to document online findings with integrity and accuracy. This tool stands out for its intuitive design and ability to capture full-page evidence in a way that supports transparency and digital chain of custody. While I’m not an investigator by trade, I can absolutely see how Forensic OSINT would be invaluable for professionals conducting online investigations, digital research, or preserving open-source data for analysis or legal purposes. Huge respect to Ritu and the team for building such a thoughtful and much-needed resource. Highly recommended—whether you're an experienced OSINT expert or just beginning to explore the field.
Just came back to Forensic OSINT after a break and was impressed by the updates. It’s faster, more intuitive, and user-friendly. I appreciate that you guys listen to feedback!
Forensic OSINT is a game changer when it comes to online investigations. As a former Cyber Crime Investigator and member of the ICAC Task Force, I wish this tool was around back then. The creators of this product really took the time and did the research to know what we, as cyber investigators, need to admit our findings into court. To anyone in the world of investigations or those who need to reproduce their findings, I would highly recommend Forensic OSINT.
paid plan for a screen shot taker ? use go full page app its free and better
Excellent tool for journalists - save investigative data the first time you found it-full page capture. This saves you time and assures you have it documented for deeper analysis.
Amazing app for forensic science researches! Can't belive i didn't know of it's existence... But i'm glad i do now!
Fantastic product for OSINT investigations, that is long overdue (aside from Hunchly!), provides another avenue to document web based data collection, which provides a digital chain of custody process for any web based gathered information. This is worth having in your investigative toolbox.
The extension itself is very easy to use and intuitive, provided you have a minimal PC literacy. What impressed me, though, is the stellar customer service. I sent an email seeking help to download a 300 scrolls long Telegram chat on a Saturday morning. It turned out that the feature was not supported yet, but they promised me to work on that, and by Monday morning I had a beta version with the needed feature, which saved me an endless process of saving one screenshot at a time. I'm very happy with my purchase!
GAME CHANGER! As a full time OSINT investigator, I am regularly asked to present evidence in court in support of investigations. The biggest sticking point with respect to OSINT evidence is continuity and preservation of online sourced data, particularly social media and multi media. I'm absolutely thrilled with the capabilities of Forensic OSINT and use it almost daily in my investigations, knowing that I have absolute peace of mind when it comes to collection and preservation of important information in an investigation. I HIGHLY recommend this tool to any and all investigators who need to gather and preserve online information and in particular, where continuity of evidence is vital to a case that may result in court proceedings. Amazing work Ritu and team, the OSINT industry has been waiting for this!
