I am happy to be able to use Xiaohongshu on my computer in full screen, rather than just on my small smart phone screen. I even figured out how to log in via the QR code. Unfortunately, the desktop extension does not offer the English translation option available on the mobile app. I hope this will change, if demand increases; I don't like using my phone for social media and rarely even carry it on my person. I am not a "TikTok refugee" but someone who decided to join Xiaohongshu to counter Western censorship and anti-Chinese propaganda. I use the site to learn more about the Chinese people and culture and to form bridges between our two countries and people.

The mobile app does not translate the screens for the shop, and the chrome extension doesn't make the shop available.

I cannot use the extension to log in to my XiaoHongShu account with a US number. They only take +86 China numbers.
