Super handy extension for spoofing your location, timezone, and language settings. Works great for testing and adds a nice layer of privacy. Simple to use and does exactly what it promises.

A long time ago, this plugin was fantastic—definitely worth a 5-star review. However, after a recent update, its performance has been really disappointing. Thankfully, I found a perfect alternative that works exactly the same: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/jlckakceffkocfndmahlecmdbipmbkcl?utm_source=item-share-cb

I've been using Vytal for a few months now, and honestly, it's one of those extensions that I didn't know I needed until I started using it. What makes it stand out is not just what it does, but how seamlessly and reliably it does it. If you're someone who cares about online privacy, testing localization, or simply wants more control over how websites see your browser, this is one of the best tools out there. Vytal lets you spoof your timezone, geolocation, locale, and even user-agent details—and the best part is, it actually works without breaking websites or flooding you with errors. I’ve used similar tools in the past, and most of them either crashed regularly, made sites behave weirdly, or were overly complex. Vytal hits that sweet spot of being powerful but easy to use. I primarily use it to simulate browsing from different countries and timezones, especially when I’m testing international websites or working with clients from other regions. It helps me ensure their content is being served properly based on the user’s location and system settings. Vytal makes it super simple to switch between profiles, and you can even set it to auto-spoof everything or just customize the parts you need. Another thing I really appreciate is the clean interface. The extension doesn’t feel bloated, and it doesn’t slow down Chrome. The developers clearly put thought into the UI — it’s intuitive, and settings are clearly explained. You can toggle features like timezone, geolocation, or locale individually, which gives you granular control. It also supports persistent spoofing, meaning your settings stick across sessions if you want them to. I’ve noticed that with Vytal enabled, websites that normally use fingerprinting to detect my real location/timezone now show the spoofed data without complaints. For example, websites that used to show the “we noticed you’re not in your home country” message no longer do that. That’s a huge win if you value privacy. As for performance — no bugs, no crashes, and no annoying behavior so far. It just works quietly in the background. Overall, I highly recommend Vytal for developers, privacy enthusiasts, or anyone who needs to test how websites behave across regions and systems. It's reliable, thoughtful, and gives you a level of browser control that’s hard to find. Definitely deserves more visibility and a 5-star rating in my opinion.

Vytal is one of the most impressive privacy tools I've used on Chrome. It goes far beyond basic tracker blocking by actively spoofing timezone, geolocation, locale, and even user-agent details — all in a way that looks realistic and consistent. That’s key for avoiding browser fingerprinting, and Vytal handles it flawlessly. What sets it apart is how well it balances power and usability. Out of the box, it works great with smart defaults, but for advanced users, there's full control over how each privacy feature behaves. It’s lightweight, doesn’t slow anything down, and integrates seamlessly into your workflow. Best of all, it’s open source — a huge plus for trust and transparency. If you're serious about privacy and want to reduce your online fingerprint, Vytal is absolutely worth installing. A must-have for privacy-conscious users.

Untrustworthy. Force redirects searches every few minutes to Yahoo via finditonline.com - reported to Google via "Give Feedback" option under the three dot menu at the top of this page. Also used "Flag concern"option in the "Details"section - or you can choose the "Report issue" option when uninstalling for the same effect. I suggest you do the same so we can get this removed.

I’m not super techy, but I do care a lot about online privacy — and Vytal has been a game-changer. I originally installed it because I kept hearing about websites tracking things like my timezone or language settings to build a profile on me. Honestly, I had no idea how much info was being leaked just by visiting a site. Vytal makes it super simple to control that. It spoofs your timezone, location, and even your language settings so websites can’t easily fingerprint or track you. What I really like is that it doesn’t mess with my browsing — everything still works normally, even on sites that usually get finicky with privacy tools. It also feels really lightweight. I’ve tried other extensions that slow things down or constantly throw popups in your face — Vytal just works quietly in the background. I barely notice it’s there, and that’s a good thing. If you're even a little bit concerned about privacy online, I highly recommend giving it a try. It’s one of those extensions that once you have it, you wonder how you ever browsed without it.

DO NOT INSTALL. It began redirecting Google searches to another website to Yahoo. Also people report a keylogger.

I’ve been using Vytal for a few weeks now and it’s become one of my go-to privacy tools. It does exactly what it promises — spoofing timezone, geolocation, and locale — without breaking websites or slowing anything down. Super helpful when I need to test how content behaves in different regions, or just want to avoid fingerprinting when browsing. I also really appreciate that it's open source — adds a layer of trust you don’t get with most extensions. The UI is simple, clean, and doesn't nag you with popups or unnecessary permissions. Highly recommend if you're looking to protect your browser fingerprint or do any sort of testing from multiple locations.

Extension works as it claims, however it hijacks your search and redirects everything to Yahoo. This is egregious behavior and should not be tolerated.
