Used to work great but recently added a pay wall without notice. What a bunch of scumbags.

I use several of cloudHQ's add-ons but the one that started it was Email Tracker. I have had no need for the features that were part of the paid tier, so I happily enjoyed the free version until today. Suddenly I have used up a free trial I had no idea I was on and I'm being asked for $9.99 USD/ month. I'm using this as the president of a non-profit minor sports league in Canada who needs to know when emails are being read as I'm often working on a tight schedule. We have no budget for something like this, especially in USD. Maybe at a different price point that I'd be willing to cover on my own I could see it (a low annual rate or non-profit rate), but this isn't it. I'm very disappointed.

This extension used to be free and great, recently they changed and removed the free tier in favor of a 30 day trial. Don't advertise something as free if you are going to change it in the future, this is now a different extension and all the reviews that this extension page currently has are about a different product at a different price tier of free. This extension page should be removed and a new one created for the non free version.

The tracking feature works fine and met my expectations. However, the extension is advertised as free — this is stated clearly in its title. I have been using it for some time and, unexpectedly, I received the following message: “Trial expired. Please upgrade to Email Tracker Premium Plan. Upgrade to get unlimited usage (and more).” For this reason, I am giving it a 1-star rating due to misleading marketing.

I really enjoy this app. Defenately the best app, for email tracking. I have worked on a few similar apps but this one remains the best by far.

What I want is an email tracker, but this program wants access to everything on my google account including: - Read, compose, send and permanently delete all your email from Gmail. (WHAT!!!) - Manage your sensitive email settings, including who can manage your email. - See, edit, create or change your email settings and filters in Gmail. - See, edit, create and delete all of your Google Drive files. (WHAT!!!) - See, create and delete its own configuration data in your Google Drive. (WHAT!!!) - Connect itself to your Google Drive. I want to track my email, nothing more, so this is not for me.

I loved using this to track who opened my emails for work. I was extremely helpful and I have used it at different jobs for years. However, now, they changed their product and have now made it a product you can only use for a short time for free, and then you have to pay for it. I would understand if it is for more features, but I only use it for tracking who has looked at my emails, nothing else. Such a shame. Now I am on the search for another email tracker that is free.

Really helpful for staying on top of client communication. I never miss a follow-up anymore.
